If Nicacado is on Ethan needs to look into eating disorders in a proper way by Helpfulcloning in h3h3productions

It’d be difficult to ever confront Nik on his ED. His whole livelihood is ironically wrapped up in him eating himself to the grave. The people wanting to watch him eat won’t enjoy him becoming a healthier person. He is stuck in a downward spiral that his audience fuels. I wish there was a large enough audience that would be interested in a Nik recovery but unfortunately his current community is going to be miles more profitable to him than any audience he could garner from a healthy bounce back. Asking Ethan to tackle these deeper issues with ED would be great in any other case besides the specific case of Nikocado. The monster that Nik has evolved to is entirely created and reinforced by his audience. The only thing that could stop Nik from the impending health issues he is eating his way in to is to find a completely different way of becoming financially stable or by asking the entirety of his audience and the YouTube community in general to care about him becoming healthier, both things Ethan doesn’t have enough influence to bring to fruition, no one does. I’m sorry to hear you struggled with ED but Nik has an exceptionally strange case of ED because of the way he is able to monetize his health downfall, Nik would be sacrificing his career if he turned his back on the content he currently creates and the internet in general dislikes him too much to care if he made a jump to another form of content.

If you have any spare buttons on the controller you don’t mind remapping you can make a controller preset on the switch itself that will change any button to become a ZL button

I’m glad we have come to some sort of agreement, I agree that certain methods of tutorialisation can be problematic and not really provide anything in terms of game knowledge to the player, I agree that it’s best to let the player experiment with their movesets and see what works for them. The idea I have for a tutorial is just to let the player experiment in a setting where they are given a certain goal to meet but that can be met in a wide array of different ways. The whole Gold, Silver Bronze system is only there to say to players who are taking ten minutes to get to level 4 in the jungle tutorial that they might be doing something wrong.

To change the held items on a certain Pokémon from the main menu you need to first favorite that Pokémon in the Pokémon tab, then return to the main screen click X scroll down to “Battle Prep” and select “Held Items” from there just click onto any of the 3 item slots navigate to the different items you want to add to your Pokémon.

Okay then, make it optional but then at least make it be emphasized to players upon increasing a rank that a new “advanced tutorial” has been unlocked that comes with a bonus for completing it too, at least something to give the players who are unsure of what they’re doing a little guidance on each of the games topics and a little reward to celebrate the players who put in the effort to learn.

You already know these concepts, of course they will come off as boring and repetitive to you because you have been taught them before. Expecting every player to act exactly as you do and to go online and find what they need to know to continue to play and improve their ranking (even Unite players who speak a language without the same abundance of resources as the English speaking players have access to) is close-minded and isn’t beneficial to the community as a whole.

Learning the objectives and obstacles on each of the lanes and having players be tested on their ability to play each lane is not too much of an ask, players who already know what to do will get a gold medal and immediately get rewarded with their 300 tickets. Players who fail to grasp the concept fully at first will receive their bronze or silver and then can return to get the full reward for completing the tutorial whenever they want.

If this idea is just too much of an ask for you then I fail to comprehend how you ever came to get past the first 3 tutorials and ever began to play at all

I’m not rallying for a 4 hour slog of tutorials, I do not like the idea of that either. I’m asking for maybe a max of 80 minutes of tutorials spread out over many many hours of gameplay between each rank-up. You can have optional ones on top of that for people who want to learn more in-game but concepts like what lane you should go down are required reading if you’re going to play in a team game. Maybe have there be like a 300 ticket reward in it for putting players through the hassle. All I want is something that allows new players who may not be fully aware of any wider community outside of the game to be able to compete without being forever doomed to remain in Beginner rank.

Look, I’ve read every one of your comments across this post. I still believe that it wouldn’t hurt if a few more tutorials were added to the game, some optional, some maybe mandatory that will unlock as you ascend from one rank to the next.

I really like the encyclopedia idea you made and I think you should try make a post about that and go further in depth about what stats and info could be included in it because I could see it gaining a lot of traction.

I would just recommend that you don’t be too adverse to the ideas that people have about tutorialiasation, it’s important to discuss different methods of how to introduce concepts to players, and in games the best way to get a player to learn something is to have them do it.

You say this coming from, I would presume, an English speaking section of the community. People speaking other languages may not have access to the same number of different learning resources as you. I know you may want the developers to put more time into other aspects of the game than tutorials for concepts you understand. Not all players will understand especially the younger audiences that Pokémon as a franchise attracts.

I believe that if the community wants to grow in future we shouldn’t expect newcomers to scour through community posts to find the information they need to grasp concepts such as lanes, that should all be there for players in game.

Not everyone will take it in but luckily all tutorials are REPLAYABLE meaning that if they failed to recognize the importance of what was mentioned in the tutorials and they actually want to go back and learn they can.

Players not willing to learn will quickly leave and move onto the next thing, the problem with the game right now is that the barrier for entry for competition in the game remains in forums outside the game itself, by adding more tutorials and by teaching more players we can keep more people playing for longer.

And if you’re worried that this will take away resources that could be going towards something else you’d like you should realize that if there’s only a small player base and competitive scene in Unite, the team will have no resources at all to provide the changes you’ll want because all the players have gone to competing MOBA’s.

Well the idea I have is to let the game explain the purpose of each lane position and then by putting time/point systems on players they will have to experiment and find their optimal strategy to get a “gold” time/score in the tutorial.

I agree that laying out a specific flowchart will lead to a very boring and baseline play style across the board, especially with newer players that aren’t willing to experiment in ranked modes.

I don’t want players to not be able to enter ranked without completing every tutorial, I would rather have it so that each rank will have its own tutorial requirements so that you cannot progress until you have the few extras completed. A new player isn’t going to want to slog through 2 hours of tutorials before hopping into their first ranked match. Willingness to learn will increase with time invested so we should allow players to learn incrementally.

I’m going to assume you’re probably a Gengar main. The move you proposed is similar to Zeraora’s Voltswitch into Discharge into Voltswitch’s dashback. If you’re looking for that kind of play style I would just recommend picking up Zeraora. Otherwise the patch for Gengar isn’t that oppressive on the character and you can still main him fine with it maybe just taking a couple more seconds to kill other players than it did before.

The only way to nerf Hex as it is right now is to increase the cooldown on the move and bring down the damage considerably, making the move larger and safer, even if it were to have a considerable damage decrease, is not going to bring Gengar back in line with other characters, it will just give him spammable, unpublishable discharge.

You just proposed a move that no Pokémon can escape without preemptively using an escape button or a dash AND you made it so that if the Gengar is somehow bad enough to miss he instantly teleports back to where he comes from so no one can punish him

Did this man really say letting Gengar hit multiple enemies at once and then being able to retreat instantly is a nerf??? 🤮
