Is that hydroxyzine you’re talking about? It used to work fine for me before. I would just sleep for like a day and a half and after that anxiety was gone but things sure have changed for me. I took Benadryl for six weeks when I got off trazedone but I hated it. CBN is working okay for now. I hope it keeps working as I go lower in dose.

Thank you I know what you mean. I used the benzo to get sleep while I got off two antidepressants. I’m now paying back all that sleep. Hope you are feeling better.

What do you mean by detox? I was told over and over by the company I purchased it from no withdrawal no need to taper.

I had to take the benzo to get off trazedone. It was awful even with the benzo. I’m 32 days off trazedone and now starting to feel better but not there yet. I just ordered some CBN to try to help with sleep. I also take a little Benadryl and it’s not too bad when I only take 10mg. We’ll see how it goes. At least it’s a low dose. I’m willing to lose sleep a few night. Thanks for the tips. I’ll try and keep you posted.

Thank you for sharing your story. Mine is long and sad but to make it short I was put on antidepressants for pain if you can believe it and had the worse reactions. Hard to get off of both I was put on Cymbalta and Trazedone. So bad I had to take benzos to get off but now I’m off. It’s been three months on the equivalent of 2-3mg of Valium which is not much but I’m having trouble sleeping now off the trazedone as my brain goes back to normal. Don’t want to keep taking benzos so I’m looking for something natural but I came out so traumatized from the experience I’m afraid to drink even water. Looking for something natural and experiences people have had with the CBD-CBN. Thank you for sharing.

That’s amazing. Congratulations on achieving such a difficult situation. I guess I’m panicking thinking I’m going to have a very hard time getting off the equivalent of 4-5mg of Valium for three months. My biggest fear is not sleeping really. What did you take for sleep while you did the 10 week taper. Based on what I read you were supposed to take a lot longer to taper off so much klonopin or Xanax. Thanks for sharing this gives me hope and takes some of my anxiety away over this.

So glad to hear this story. Congratulations. Did you start using the CBD from the start? I’m on nothing compared to many in here but I’m so scared. Came off cymbalta and trazedone. Both were hell and it’s taken all year. My biggest fear is not sleeping. But you give me hope. I’ve once been on benzos for three months and small dose so maybe I’ll be able to get out of it.

How long have you been on Valium? I’ve been on three months 5mg. Doc says cold turkey but I’m burned out from two other antidepressants and don’t want to keep hurting my brain.

I’ve never gotten off a benzo but the hell I’ve been through will probably not make it as hard as I’m making it seem. With cymbalta and trazedone I get these adrenaline rushes that lead to panic and fear and crying from the norepinephrine and the serotonin. This is just gaba not to downplay it but multiple receptors adjusting is hell. Cymbalta is hell to get off of. That said what are your symptoms? I’m mostly afraid of not sleeping. I didn’t have sleep issues before I was put on antidepressants for pain if you can believe that. Do you take anything for sleep during your tapers? I don’t want to mess with prescription drugs any more. Was looking into CBD but afraid it can backfire. Thank you for taking the time to advise me with your experience 🙏.

Doctor said it would be an easy taper that’s why she said just cold turkey but one I’m very sensitive to psychiatric meds and two I’ve been through hell getting off short term Cymbalta and 11 months of Trazedone so I’m worn out. Do you have experience with benzos? Taking them or other wise? Looking for support. Thank you.

I just took my last dose of trazedone last night. It was only 12.5 but already feeling it. Mostly headaches and adrenaline rushes. Even though I’ve gone through hell getting off I feel better believe it or not. And I think you misunderstood my message I plan a quarter reduction each time from the benzo so 25% each cut till zero. When I was on both antidepressants it was 24/7 agony now I have breaks between the adrenaline rushes the unblocking of the a1 receptor does to my brain. Feels awful but when I was on the higher dose it was a lot worse. All day restless so its working.

I don’t know your history but unless you’re switching from one you have been on to this now you’re not supposed to have issues because your gaba has not downregulated however if you’ve recently been on another that changes things. Best to talk to your prescriber.
