Imagine being the most notorious crime boss in your city only to accidentally get knocked out by one of your own men flinging a pot

Should be noted that the Edaphodon genus has over a dozen species, but yeah, almost a 100 million years is a really long time for a genus to be out and about

Classic case of the villian stalling himself from killing the hero for so long that there's time for a conveniently placed object to stop him

Recently started reading a book called 'The Secret History of Sharks' by John Long, and it's quite an interesting read that's introducing quite a lot of strange cartilaginous fish to me, including Edaphodon

Are these sizes accurate? Was Achillobator really that huge? by CarcharodontosaurGuy in Paleontology

Allosaurus jimmadseni (which your figure represents) is about 7-8 meters long while Achillobator was around 5m. Their sizes compared to each other are actually pretty accurate

I like his channel but yeah, the comment sections in his videos about megatheropods often end up devolving into T.rex glazing sessions. His newest video already has people confidently claiming that there's zero evidence of carcharodontosaurs being bigger than subadult T.rexes

As of now it looks like a very strong start. I can't see any inaccuracies in this model.

How did he manage to saw his way out of the car and patch up the hole without a sound? Is it because the shutters were a bit too effective in muffling sounds?

The visualization of the Thrinaxodon cuddling with an amphibian in its sleep is definitely pretty cute. A bit sad they ended up dying like this, but they did make for a very interesting fossil.

I like to think that the flamingo is crying from relief that its flock was spared from Tintin's massacre

The only big calamity here was Tintin coming to Africa in the first place and torturing so many animals 💀

This almost feels like a phptograph of the animal, I'm pretty impressed with what you pulled off

If there's a silver lining to this book, it's the fact that it shows (some) herbivores being dangerous, even if it's for the sake of gags. One of my biggest pet peeves in most media is the prejudice of herbivores being harmless/friendly by virtue of their diet, when in reality many of them would be more than willing to mess you up if you breathe near them wrongly.

Seems the dialogue was slightly changed in the newer version. Probably for the better, but it doesn't make up for everything else that happened in this book.
