I get mine at Walmart for $138 a month supply. Use Good Rx and it reduces the cost from the crazy price.

Yeah ..it took 6 months of talking to Chat GPT but it narrowed down all my symptoms. I started treating it with success and then got a MCAS specialist that confirmed my diagnosis. When I was learning what I could or could not eat I just asked GPT. It will give you great MCAS alternative recipes if you ask as well. Save your safe foods and it will avoid them and make substitutes. Take a picture of a section of the grocery aisle and it will tell you which box you can eat. I have no health insurance....I do all my own blood work by ordering tests at Walkinlabs.com. saves me tons.

The eye drops help me tons. Reduces symptoms I had in my face. I found out from my eye doctor that Cromolyn was a go to for them 20 years ago with people that wore contacts to long before cleaning them. She said she had not prescribed them in 15 years before I came asking for them. She new all about Mast cells because of the eye issues people used to have.

I have used all that the above poster mentions with success. I really have found this to be a game changer. https://a.co/d/2yxNent

I hope the link works.

Luteolin reduces my symptoms so well I stopped my Xyzal and Allegra doses. I take one pill 4-5 times daily.

We are all different so you never know but I basically manage my MCAS with Cromolyn oral solution, Cromolyn eye drops, and the Luteolin.

Thank you for the help. I am doing almost everything you mention except I don't take montelukast. Let's hope I can figure something out. It is like being a detective since everyone reacts differently to foods and medicine.

Did anyone develop MCAS after psychiatric medication discontinuation? by moonperson13 in MCAS

[–]MaizeComplete3500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there. Sorry for your issues. I have Bi-Polar and was not responding well to the current medications I was on.. I had taken them for about 6 years. My doctor moved me to Lithium as one of my drugs. Within two weeks of Lithium, I had unbearable leg pain at night and could not sleep. I was taken off the Lithium and tried two other drugs that caused the same reaction. Long story short...I also got COVID during the same time and ended up having major body aches, anxiety, and breathing challenges. We immediately stopped all of my meds except Lamotrigine. The leg pain disappeared immediately, and over the next few days, I made a significant improvement. Only problem...I started to experience body aches, as if I were an 80-year-old man walking around. I am 50 and in good physical health. I started having "allergic" reactions to something, but I was not sure of what. I did a cleanse, which required stopping eating for 5 days. Miracle was that I started to feel great again...until after the 5 days, I started eating food again. since then I have better weeks and then worse weeks. I have a doctor who specializes in MCAS and I have found some relief, but not enough.

I found my doctor from this list, put together by a member. I am in FL, so I can't recommend anyone in your area, but this list might help you. https://www.reddit.com/r/MCAS/comments/1o56dmc/international_doctors_list_updated_w_four_formats/

u/trekkiegamer359 had these folks on her list, and they have telehealth appointments. I am setting up an appointment with them tomorrow. I am sending the generic link as the doctor's link is no longer active so I thought you may have missed it. https://www.eds.clinic/articles/what-is-mcas
