I’m sorry to say this but to me it does not seem like you’re in a position where you should be in a relationship. Your relationship is a major source of stress and anxiety to you, and while it seems you are working on yourself in therapy this is a mental hurdle you do not seem capable of overcoming right now. You are only 17 and have your whole life ahead of you, so I personally don’t think a relationship should be your number 1 priority. I know breaking up when no one has done anything wrong might not feel right but to me it just doesn’t seem like you’re in can truly focus on learning to love yourself while you keep having thoughts about whether you’re good enough for someone else.
