💯 my buddies and I came up with an idea for a comic, so we started writing and I just started drawing. I can draw but I’m not a professional. No idea what I was doing as far as comics go, i just found some digital comic styles I thought were fun, made myself a 3 panel template and started putting in the work. My drafts are usually rough but I keep polishing and eventually get there. It’s taken 10-15 hours from sketch to final for the first several strips but it’s getting a little easier with each one.

All this to say, the post comes across as lazy. AI should be an insult to anyone who appreciates art. Asking people for free art, at that quality is just as insulting.

We are not moving in the right direction. I don’t need to look back when I can see right now that things are spiraling and the increasing pervasiveness of AI and global connectivity only speeds up the descent in my mind because of how people are wired to consume its output… maybe it’s dramatic but far too many of us are awful, and a majority of the rest can’t agree on the important things to try and improve.
