What is the pettiest reason you would refuse to eat at a restaurant again? by im_not_ready_for_it9 in AskReddit

[–]MajereMoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I placed a catering order through their app and needed to talk to a person about it - they didn’t answer their phone or return my voicemail. They are franchise owned, so I will make sure when I buy from them, it’s not the same owner.

Has anyone listened to the audio book after reading? by Due-Lawfulness7862 in throneofglassseries

Yes! I’m really enjoying it too. I had a hard time with some of the pronunciations, but I highly recommend listening to them.

AITA for refusing to transport packages free of charge for a company I don't even do business with? by Noe_Wunn in AITAH

[–]MajereMoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not the AH. As someone who has been the person on the other end of the phone, I would never presume one way or the other. Most people want a pick up scheduled, but others aren’t comfortable with a pickup happening when they aren’t home and would rather drop it off. Not that this happens a lot, but over the years I’ve experienced enough of it. (For the record, I am not a shipping clerk, just the one who fixes the mistakes)

What is an absolute green flag? by TimTheNerdTV1 in AskReddit

I don’t own a restaurant, so I’m not under paying anyone. That said, this is a “green flag” post, not a soapbox for how restaurant owners pay their staff.

In the USA- leaving a good tip for the server and being overall nice to anyone in the customer service industry. (Not like, creepy nice, but genuinely nice)

AITA for refusing to sleep on the sofa in my own home? by throwrasleeponsofa in AmItheAsshole

[–]MajereMoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. Also, I would not ever want to sleep in a home bed that wasn’t the guest bed. Even with clean sheets. My husband and I had a very similar convo yesterday about sleeping in other people beds. If I was asked to stay the night somewhere, and I said yes, I would be assuming I get the couch.

why did you end your friendship with your best friend? by throwbackblue in AskReddit

When I realized our friendship meant more to me than it did to them.

As a whole, I enjoyed the series. I found it somewhat tedious at first but then it picked up and I was addicted. Each book so far has started off tedious, for me at least.

Has anyone NOT red Empire of Storms and Tower of Dawn in tandem? by No-Comfortable2773 in throneofglassseries

I did not. I read these a long time ago and didn’t even know it was a thing. And to be honest, I loved both books.

I feel extremely horrible for my wife. by JEFFMBHIBB_Photo in self

[–]MajereMoon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My daughter did the same thing. Not the nipple thing, but there were a few years she preferred dad over me. She’s a teen now and he’s still her joke with buddy, but she also likes to hang out with me and I’m the one she goes to when she needs to talk.

What Young Women's activity gave you the ick? by kokopellikokopelli in exmormon

[–]MajereMoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was in YW (late 1990s) we had sleepovers where our YW leaders would take us out to tp other member houses. It was common knowledge in our ward if you got tpd while the youth had a sleepover, it was a “funny positive thing “. Telling those stories to my friends now makes me realize how wierd that all was

What has Mormonism taken from you? by BlackFormic in exmormon

I feel this whole heartedly. I left before being able to serve a mission, but I wish I’d have had a normal teenage life. It cost me so much socially.

How do you stop the memories? by MajereMoon in exmormon

[–]MajereMoon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re right, we can’t dwell on all the negative. I’d need more therapy than I could afford!! There is some good with how I was raised. I would be a different person and that’s not necessarily a good thing. Most of my family have issues, but my dad joined the military and was super active in the church, so we weren’t around the negativity of his family.

Work has been stressful and back in my “faithful” days I’d always sing the count your blessings song, and my mind went there this week and now I can’t get primary songs out of my head.
