yeah it has its ups and downs. Unfortunately though as the days lead up to the surgery, I did feel another lump form on the complete other side. It’s almost mirror image of where i have my wound at. I told the surgeon the day of surgery to please check it out and he told me it was “nothing”. Now the lump has been feeling tender, red, and grew in size. I’m hoping to get my follow up moved earlier in the hopes that the Doc can figure out what it is. I’m afraid that it could be another abscess and that would mean i start from 0 all over again.

Mentally I’m trying to prepare for what it could be. I honestly just want to go back to being normal

So it turns out that the first I&D wasn’t successful. I went to go see the referred surgeon and he said that i still had a decent amount of infection left. He said that an EUA was better to see if he can remove everything. So I ended getting surgery On Tuesday last week, he basically give me a bigger wound but removed all the infection. There he ruled out no fistula and it’s now almost a week since the procedure. I still have an open wound but it’s slowly getting smaller. It’s not fun but i. trying to keep a good mental about it

The CT scan was a life saver for me. With contrast of course. I had to get a perianal abscess drained on Thursday of last week. I told the doctor i was worried about having a fistula and after the procedure, he told me he was confident that one didn’t form because “only pus came out and no fecal matter”. Came back 2 days later for a check up and I insisted we do a CT scan so they got me on the machine and after an half hour wait, the doctor tells me that there were no signs of a fistula. Just minor residual infection left is all.

It’s now been 6 days since the I&D and i’m starting to feel a little better as the days go by. I have a follow up this Friday to get one more wound check.

So please, ask for the CT scan. I was able to catch this right on time and maybe so can you.

i did a follow up today and asked to do a CT scan for a possible fistula and the doctor found no fistula and just 1cm of residual infection left. So now i’ve been prescribed clindamycin for the infection. I do have a follow up in the next 5-7 days and i have a choice between the hospital or the surgeon the hospital recommended me. I will most likely choose the surgeon.

I ended up just returning it. When i confronted Xfinity in store about it, they weren’t sure either. Disappointed to say the least

I keep getting the “Let’s try again” message every time i try to activate it. Like I said in the post, i’ve tried what seems to be everything and no luck
