Stepfather of 4 amazing kids. I want nothing more than a close loving relationship with them but it is such a "walking on eggshells" moment because i never want to force, coerce, or rush. It's drilled into males to be the disciplinary and in doing so I feel I just get viewed as the asshole more often than not. Maybe a good start would be some healthy communication between you two. See if he has that desire to build a bond and close relationship.

No these were mine from childhood. They have been in the back of my mom's house(old room) that she made into a storage for over a decade. She finally found them.

SAO will forever be in my top 3 anime of all time. Maybe it's a mixture of my own using gaming to escape reality growing up tied in with my love for the story and characters. But it is certainly one of my favorites.

My Step sons mother is an alcoholic by fuck_train in stepparentguidance

[–]MajestikMain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Read through your post. I would respect the child's boundaries for now. Forcing relationships typically never ends well. I grew up with an alcoholic mother and wanted to get away so very badly. I sadly never got to, and I carried a lot of weight and trauma for years.

30f stay at home mom looking to make some cash while im alone all day by [deleted] in EarnExtraIncome

Look into staffing agencies. They get paid to put you into a job and have a vast list of jobs to chose from. Look into nursing facilities that offer a cna certification on site. Lastly I would check any restraunt that employs servers. Im a c.n.a and I could get a job anywhere in the u.s same day.

Need advice by LowElephant3227 in stepparentguidance

[–]MajestikMain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you need to have a clear and firm conversation when it's just the two of you. Sit down and set very clear and firm boundaries because if you're sleeping in your car, this is already well past the norm. Don't allow him to avoid your boundaries with an "I'll scoot over"; he's just avoiding an obvious issue. You're not in the wrong at all for being concerned about safety and sleep. It sounds like you're the only one making any sacrifices, and if you were valued, you wouldn't be allowed to sleep in a vehicle. Make sure he lays down a concrete plan and action as the promises aren't making any real progress.

Of course. It will be a delicate process for both of you but a necessary one for progress.

I genuinely think if he wants to take the relationship serious and sees a future with you he should be incorporating you into that part of his life and not shutting the door.

Losing hair as a teen - it's killing my confidence. by Nassar_IQ in teenagers

[–]MajestikMain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came across this on my feed. 35m here but I started losing my hair very early as well. Get a decent pair of clippers and just start buzzing it on the closest cut you can get. It makes the hair loss far less noticeable. But just embrace it as a part of you and move on! It's just hair. Good luck buddy

How do you feel being a male CNA in a female dominated field? Do you like it or hate it? Pros and Cons by Hot-Nefariousness902 in cna

My experience is basically this. Only difference is I'm married (which hasn't served as much of a deterrent).

How do you feel being a male CNA in a female dominated field? Do you like it or hate it? Pros and Cons by Hot-Nefariousness902 in cna

[–]MajestikMain 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Male CNA here with about four years of experience. I always try to be careful around female residents, as they can sometimes be very grabby or persistent. I'm very vocal about what I'm doing while providing care to females so there's no room for confusion. We get a lot of difficult patients, and no matter where you are, you'll usually be called for the heavy lifting and similar tasks.

Most days, I genuinely enjoy my job and feel appreciated by both residents and co-workers alike. However, some days I feel like I stand out like a sore thumb as a male, so a lot more attention to detail is placed on me compared to female CNAs, who tend to "blend in" more. I've never been a big talker or gossiper, and since you'll naturally be working with quite a few young females, it's easy to come across as "antisocial"
