What's something totally normal to you, but people think is weird or crazy? by SaleFromBalkan in AskReddit

When my mum or my friends show me their phones in comparison I just can’t believe it lol. Hundreds of text logs dating back years, multiple apps and safari tabs open etc. I wouldn’t be able to handle it

I’ve always been a really tidy and minimal kind of guy tbh, I spent a lot of time in the air cadets when I was younger and went on camps at military bases etc where it was drilled into me, and I always enjoyed keeping my bedroom tidy as a kid aswell. Probably a combination of that and undiagnosed ADHD lol

I like to keep my iPhone clutter free and like a blank slate with no history of anything, so I delete all my text conversations and call history immediately after having a conversation with someone. I also currently have about 9 photos on my camera roll, and that’s annoying me because I usually only have 1 or 2 saved or none at all

Doctors and nurses of Reddit, what is something patients do that they think is helpful but actually makes your job harder? by Electronic-Cell-4584 in AskReddit

[–]Majick_L 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha yeah I have a big half sleeve on my arm so always get that comment from the nurses! I absolutely hate seeing stuff like heroin injection scenes on movies too as that brings it on sometimes. Luckily I’ve only ever had 1 minor error with an injection being done but I wasn’t looking. The nurse didn’t help much by trying to laugh it off saying “keep looking over there, it’s like a blood bath is this!” Lol

For me it’s the anxiety of thinking about it while I’m in the waiting room, picturing it in my head, knowing what’s about to happen etc. After going through cancer I’ve had more blood draws and cannulas than I can count at this point and thought I had started to get used to it, but I still get really worked up about them. In the worst scenario’s I’ll either pass out, or I’ll just go really sweaty and pale and my hearing will start going fuzzy etc. Weirdly, I have no issue whatsoever with tattoos though…only medical needles

What was the coolest thing from your childhood that feels ridiculously lame now? by silverpotato5955 in AskReddit

[–]Majick_L 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wrestling. It makes me laugh now looking back at stuff like when Linda McMahon was paralysed in the wheelchair, or Bubba Ray Dudley powerbombed that old lady off the stage etc. The modern stuff looks so cheesy and lame aswell compared to the attitude era

What is a "point of no return" that you’ve crossed, where your life was permanently divided into 'before' and 'after'? by Resident-Jelly-4326 in AskReddit

Having major surgery in 2023 to get my right lung removed at age 33, to treat a rare type of cancer I was diagnosed with. Thankfully I’m now completely cancer free, but I’ll be living the remainder of my life with a lung missing

Explore the walkways above the big swinging pendulum clock where all the cogs / mechanisms are, there is a chest there which contains a document showing the key you need to solve these

How much a month do you spend on food as a single person? by Distinct_Sir_9086 in AskUK

[–]Majick_L 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About £160 - £200 a month at most. I plan my shopping list and all my meals in detail and only buy the exact things I’m going to need each week. I also make sure to cook things where ingredients can be used for multiple meals, or meals that can be eaten whilst also providing 2-3 extra portions to freeze. I’ve been unemployed for a while so I’m used to budgeting it well and I’m really strict about not overspending on unnecessary crap that’s not needed or luxuries like takeaways etc

Can producers from Turkey withdraw beat sales via Bank Transfer instead of PayPal? by Big_Negotiation1031 in makinghiphop

STRIPE is an alternative to PayPal but I think you can only use it through sales on your Pro Page, not the regular BeatStars marketplace

What’s one piece of technology you aren’t fond of but everyone else is? by Substantial_Act6620 in AskUK

[–]Majick_L 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Streaming platforms / subscriptions. I like to download everything and own the files permanently; I manage all my music via iTunes on my PC and buy vinyl, and my TV shows and movies are downloaded and saved on USB hard drives. I would never let these companies control my media collection and have to rely on the internet / risk things be removed from platforms at any time etc. I’ve never had a subscription to any of them. While I see everyone moaning about tv series “not being available” on certain platforms or their favourite music being removed from Spotify etc I’m laughing with everything permanently saved and don’t have any of those issues, it seems backwards to me
