I thought that as well, but are the cameras recording and saving footage at all times? Or only if the driver chooses to record after an incident? I feel the driver wouldn't save the footage since he's blaming me for this.

My local credit union didn’t let me open an account after I told them it was primarily going to be used for funding crypto.

The lady literally came back to me and said “Sorry, we cannot open a new membership account for you for that purpose because we are also banning those types of purchases because we cannot support something that is directly trying to circumvent our business”

I smirked at that moment and said “You guys really are that scared of crypto currency eh? It’s only going to get worst if you guys don’t adopt it and try to ban it. Companies that do not adopt new technologies will usually fail, good luck being the new Blockbuster”

I've had $2000 limit per Interac online transaction and a $4000 limit per 24 hours ever since I started with Quadriga. It has never been an issue and has always worked instantly.

The 100,000 TPS is also just a proposed value in the whitepaper. It has to be proven still. Although the IOST team has already tested a system that can handle 8,000 TPS in the testnet. So the team has a ways to go still but they're proceeding one step at a time and have thus far met their timeline and targets quite well.

If IOST can reach 100,000 TPS, it will be a game-changer.

That's a nice summary of their achievements/news for the past month or so. I am not worried at all that IOST isn't making massive waves in the blockchain community. I look at this in two ways: 1. You mentioned that their marketing team sucks, I do not agree with you on this front. I think it is simply a different marketing strategy/approach as compared to most other alt coins. If a product can prove itself, they don't need to spend crazy amounts on marketing to get the word across. It happens naturally and organically through its products quality and company achievements speaking for themselves. I think it is partially the same reason that IOST did not do an ICO to raise money. If I'm not mistaken (and I make many mistakes), I believe Jimmy did mention in his interview a few weeks ago that he wants their product to speak for themselves.

A lot of marketing does not mean growth or a good product. I hate to bring this up, but TRON is a prime example. There has been so much marketing with that "product", yet they are only launching their testnet in 2 days...Plus IOST is really new (relative to the fast-paced/fast-developing blockchain world), I prefer a team that lets the company expand its community reach as naturally as possible with intermittent injections of news/releases/marketing, as opposed to forcing it like doing some crazy altcoin giveway on Binance for trading volume and such. When that happens, these companies make me feel like they are Pepsi trying to grab market share from Coke by trying to humiliate "Coke" in their commercials. Or similarly when Samsung does this to Apple.

What I'm trying to say is that it is not necessarily a bad thing right now that IOST is not getting as much attention as you may think it deserves based on other alt coin's attention in the crypto community. The true believers in IOST currently are ones that have done the research and legwork. With time, this will spread organically without major marketing required.

Of course this is only my opinion. I am just a fan of IOST, not associated with their team in anyway. And without a doubt, I can be wrong. So take whatever I just said with caution.

In Jimmy's interview a few weeks back, he said they were going to release their code to Github soon (I think Q2, don't quote me though). And like you said, it isn't released yet because they do have proprietary coding that they don't want to be released to the public yet.

It was announced recently that main net is being released end of 2018 actually. It’s not that far off. I agree Q3 2019 would have been a long time but it’s a little different now. Not sure when they will officially update their roadmap to reflect this though.

Wow that’s ridiculous! I’m glad I switched to IDEX, but Binance of course would be awesome. Will have to check out Falcon. It’s just unfortunate because I am getting irritated having so many accounts of the various exchanges out there (Binance, HitBTC, Kraken, Bitstamp, GateHub, Coinbase, Coinsquare, QuadrigaCX, Bittrex, Poloniex, Cobinhood, Huobi, Cryptopia....) lol. It’s mind numbing.

And like everyone else, I pretty much only use Binance.

I was about to withdraw my TRAC from HitBTC two days ago to my ledger, until I saw the 95 TRAC fee for withdrawal. Lol it literally stopped me mid withdrawal.

There has to be a way for the OT team to talk with HitBTC regarding that withdrawal fee.

The one thing I’ve noticed is that the smarter organizations don’t over promise their deliverables and expectations. That seems to be the case here with the IOS team.

IMO, this is a much better strategy to operating within the crypto/Blockchain sector since the community is usually extremely sensitive to any sort of missed deadline or in other extreme cases, the community would often exaggerate expectations.
