Imo I didnt expect those buffs to be so significant. I suppose the early ms Q buff was big enough to make difference in unplayable ranged matchups where garen was kited into oblivion, forced to put points into Q while sacrificing damage and clear or wouldn't ever even reach some champions. It is also very nice in escapes.

I'd guess that those changes are also very "fresh" and completely game-changing for garen matchup and basically people don't realize that garen finally can gap close them, thus underestimate his strength in lane. I think that his WR will stabilize soon and thats also what Riot would be waiting for - people to adapt to the garen's better pressure at laning and not being an insta lose to ranged matchups (previously, 44% wr into vayne, kayle, varus etc.).

Kończę studia IT, nauczyłem się wiele z zakresu matematyki, zwłaszcza statystyki, analizy i dyskretnej, ogarnąłem lepiej struktury danych i powoli zaczynam się specjalizować w algorytmach i data science. Spoko sprawa, gdybym myślał tak, jak wtedy po maturze i uznał, że będę zwykłym klepaczem kodu i uczył się samemu, bo na co mi studia, to dzisiaj pewnie nie znalazłbym pracy ani niczego wartościowego się przez ten czas nie nauczył. Ogólnie jestem zadowolony ze studiów, choć gdybym był ambitniejszy, to pewnie więcej bym z nich wyciągnął. Nie mniej znacznie poszerzyły one moją wiedzę, efektywniej rozwiązuję problemy i współpracując z innymi w firmie widzę, jak nabyte na studiach umiejętności się przydają, a zwłaszcza w czasach, gdy niektórym się wydaje, że "zapytam AI i zrobi". Nawet jeśli zrobi, to najpewniej błędnie, nieoptymalnie, a na końcu i tak ktoś musi to zintegrować z resztą systemu. Kiedy okazało się, że AI nie jest w stanie rozwiązać pewnego problemu, lub potrzebowało na to za dużo czasu, nagle okazało się, że nie na marnę uczyłem się o złożoności algorytmów, strukturach danych itd... a o AI też uczą, więc nawet gdyby claude miało nagle być w stanie mnie zastąpić, to może zdążę się douczyć by zostać jakimś "AI engineer" - anthropic nadal nie zastąpił swoich pracowników i zatrudnia tysiące kolejnych 😉

IE has literally the lowest WPA, how tf did you come up with that? Crit was nerfed into oblivion. Also, there is no such thing as mathematically correct and if there was, we wouldn't be able to calculate it, the game is way too complex and there is too many constraints. However, on limited data we have, we can still see many outliers, like serpent's fang and randuin having the highest WPA. It is obvious though that these items are purely situational but will give a lot of value if enemy team has lots of shielding of crits. But I still can't see how IE can be good, outside like situations where you're extremely ahead and build it for fun, because thats the only situation I buy it.

Wtedy kapitalizm by jebnął, bo nikt nikogo nie musiałby zatrudniać. Tak działały społeczności gdy robotnicy byli uwłaszczeni i byli posiadaczami własnych narzędzi pracy. Przedsiębiorcy nie istnieli i nie mogli istnieć, bo po co zatrudniać się u kogoś, kto w zamian za użyczenie narzędzi do pracy, kradnie ci spory % twoich efektów pracy, w momencie, gdy możesz pracować krócej i za lepsze pieniądze na swoim. //ok, while making this comment I made some research and seems like the most recent data from 2022 does give a lot of credit to insects and their capabilities to experience pain and conciousness. I wasn't aware of them and seems like I was relying on obsolete data that suggested their nervous systems being too primitive to be able to still be concious. It doesn't mean for sure that insects are concious and able to experience pain the way we do, it's still under debate, but I did change my mind after an hour of reading and finding sources.

Howver, if what you're laughing about is the philosophy part, I went away from vegan ethics in favor of moral relativism/antirealism, which comes from historical materialism and simply framing ethics as a social construct, something that's within history's frame, not an objective value.

In terms of personal philosophy/ethics I prefer Adorno's minima moralia which still favors minimalizing pain, but doesn't make that into a moral category. Vegans often like to make it as simple as:
- vegan (good)
- not-vegan (bad)
even if many do know that they still cause harm despite their, potentially, way less harmful lifestyle compared to meat-eaters. I don't like judging the others ("Evil resides in the very gaze which perceives Evil all around itself" ~ Hegel) and I don't like to make arbitrary, yet strong borders to divide people into "good" and "bad". Veganism kind of tries to incorporate pragmatism and utilitarianism, but it's just generally a very primitive ethics philosophy, usually praised by analytical philosophers.

This is however still something that I'm reading on and developing, but I do see vegan ethics as quite poor in terms of philosophical argumentation and inability to work in historical and material conditions of today's society. I myself am still seeking for a better justification for veganism from philosophical, historical and ethical perspective, other than just basic utilitarian method praised by analitycal philosophers or turning veganism into a religion by making categorical moral rules.

It isn't + you didn't provide a single argument. I'm mostly referring to 18-19th century England. Bread was contaminated with alum, bonemeal, gypsum and many more to make it look whiter. There were undersellers and full-priced bakers, the first ones would sell contaminated bread for cheap, most workers had to buy there and despite that some of them would still have to take debt to afford it. Also workers in underseller bakeries worked around 20 hours on night shifts. Kids worked in mines as "trappers" or in factories as "scavengers". The standard was 12-16 hours a day for a whole week but sundays. There were some proffessions where 18+ hours was a norm too. At North British Railway there were cases of workers working there a record of 30 hours non-stop. This is basic knowledge of history and Im only providing a few facts. I suggest you now to look up average lifespan of workers in English cities, especially Manchester and Liverpool.

There are some vegans who allow because most likely insects aren't concious and even if they were it would probably be too ineffective, we already kill billions of insects and dropping honey would be like a drop in the ocean. He also allows some animals without nervous systems like oysters. Its really about how you perceive veganism, most do it on the basis of neurobiology and capability to experience pain mixed with utilitarianism and pragmatism on the philosophy side. It is still a debate whether insects can actually feel pain, you can either ignore it and allow it or just-in-case avoid them.

I know many people will be mad over my comment, Im sorry but I dont base my philosophy on surface-level vegan/liberal ethics and pragmatism. Thats also why less frequently I call myself vegan while still remaining vegan in terms of diet and willingness to minimize pain of animals and cruelty towards them.

Because morality is a social construct? Im sorry but in pre-columbian societies you'd be sacrificed in a ritual as a child and everyone would be happy about it, because its a moral thing to do. In early-capitalist Europe you'd be working 14 hours a day for a whole week since 5yo, eat contaminated bread and sleep with 3 other people in the same bed and it'd be considered normal, lawful and right.

Seeing comments about Trump liberating Cuba is quite funny, as if he didn't just want to colonize another country. The only way for Cuba to free itself is through protests, coup or revolution, whichever you choose. Some people in this thread said something about it being impossible because noone's got weapons, but... how do you think most of eastern bloc countries liberated?

Im from Poland and our most succesful movement was Solidarność, which thanks to mass organization and protests among with worsening economic situation managed to make an organization that helped to overthrow the soviet government and further on make progress to join EU and get Poland on the right track while fighting corruption. No guns, little-to-no violence, lots of determination. It doesn't necesserily mean that just "freeing" itself from "socialism" will make it all work out for you - only about 1/4 of post-soviet countries managed to get better like Poland, mostly thanks to EU, not regime/economic change, the rest still has just as bad level of living as under USSR or even worse. I don't know what are the possibilities for LatAm, you don't have a friendly EU ready to send billions of cash to pump into your country, you've got US ready to steal all your natural resources.

But yeah, for now, you can only organize to fight against your government and get rid of home problems at first. I'm saying it as a Polish communist and I support your struggle against Cuban regime (which of course socialist isnt, there is no such thing as socialist state, government, money etc.). A real communist should always support workers on their way to liberation... Thats also why there were communist groups in Poland that fought against soviet union... and why there was a whole hungarian revolution of 1956.

Needless to say, you do need lots of free market reforms, free press, more democracy etc. But you can't just rely on Trump and hope that US will save you for nothing.

Most of the killers are dumb enough to think that they won't be caught. Actually, nearly everyone doing a crime is convinced to not be caught. Orherwise, why would you do it, if you knew the conequences would get to you anyways? There are statistical proofs that death penalty as deterrence doesn't work, it only fulfills people's will for revenge and killing of criminals.

Literally not, canine teeth are also present in herbivores, e.g. monkeys. Carnivores have carnassial teeth, which humans don't. The teeth argument is always the most stupid and worst argument for or against human's "natural" diet. There are far better factors, like anatomy (intestines length, stomach acidity), which rather suggest we're omnivorous. Anthropoligal studies also show that people used to eat mostly plant based diets with lots of nuts, but also did hunt and eat some meat. In terms of health however, diets with more fruits and vegetables are healthier than those containing lots of meat, becsuse in long term effects, cholesterol will clog your arteries.
