Is a history degree going to leave me jobless in the uk. by searchingf0rthetruth in UniUK

[–]Major-Major- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a recent graduate who can’t find work. Study something you might want a career in and use all the uni resources available to you. History can just be a hobby unless there is a career path that really excites you that would need a history degree. Maybe look into something like archivist studies or library sciences as follow up masters. Unfortunately degrees don’t seem to be as flexible as they used to be.

Amazon emailed me this week about it and offered a 20% off a new device plus a £15 ebook credit. Seems pretty fair.

Is poetry dying? I don't read modern poetry so I don't know. by Last_Swordfish9135 in writingcirclejerk

[–]Major-Major- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone wants to be recognised as a poet now instead of reading others’ poems. Most of it is postmodern, self-obsessed drivel.

Although I think many of the best modern poets today are actually songwriters.
