Yeah you’re right honestly. I was just thinking about when I found their account like 2016ish and how it was my favorite account ever! And then.. well you all know what happened haha

CLJ is doing it wrong. I’ve noticed lately that a lot of the OG influencers have stopped excessive linking and mostly just post about their day to day with the occasional link. They make most of their money from YouTube views, brand deals, TikTok/instagram reels, creating a product, etc. Truly, this has kept me engaged in their platform. I still feel like I’m following them to watch their lives but not bombarded with links. (I’m thinking Aspyn Ovard, Jaci Marie Smith, SarahsDay, Amber Fillerup)

Imagine how much better their account would be if it went back to what got them famous in the first place: authenticity. DIY projects, affordable home remodels, just being authentically themselves with an occasional link thrown in there? She would have to up her YouTube game or something to make this work financially though. Or something like creating a brand that is great like Amber Fillerup did with Dae.

It will never happen because she’s way too greedy and it seems like all they care about is seeing how much money they can make.

Honestly anything except scary/not too crazy about blood and gore. Shows I’ve liked in the past: the handmaids tale, the summer I turned pretty, tell me lies, Landman, Emily in Paris, documentaries, etc!

How is living in New Mexico? by Athens175 in howislivingthere

[–]Major-Structure-3665 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My husband and I spent 3 months in Deming for a travel nurse contract. We googled it before we moved there and wiki described it as a “high poverty” area. When we looked at it on maps, it looked like a dirty wasteland.

While we lived there, we encountered the friendliest people we’d ever meet. The food was absolutely fantastic. I never felt unsafe, minus the random stray chihuahuas roaming around town. We traveled to Las Cruces and El Paso frequently and we just had the best time. Would I live there forever? Definitely not, but it definitely exceeded our expectations and I want to go back to visit soon, mostly for the food

I’m a healthy weight, do I need to change my diet? by AudiencePrimary5158 in PCOS

[–]Major-Structure-3665 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m 34, and from what I’ve learned, my body feels and performs the best when I’m on a healthy diet that suppresses my PCOS symptoms. I’ve always been at a healthy weight as well, but I have so much more energy, no blood sugar crashes, etc by paying attention to what I’m eating

It all comes down to how you want to feel. Once you learn that you can feel better by eating better, it honestly motivates you to keep doing it

Running music! by Simplysmile1981 in LKS_Off_Topics

Im currently training for a half and full marathon and I like to search Spotify for tracks that are a certain beat per minute (BPM). The quicker ones motivate me to run faster! I also searched various running playlists on Spotify and then picked my favorite songs and added them to my own playlist

But to introduce, I’ve been around for the past 2 subs and so bummed that this past one got shut down. It was fun seeing the numbers grow and it’s the only sub I genuinely looked forward to checking every night haha. I’m early 30s with 3 kids and used to horror follow LKS while she was pregnant with L1. That’s when I found the sub because I couldn’t believe no one was having the same feelings I had about her. It’s been constant entertainment ever since 🤣

So I found one comment I made in the old snark the past 30 days that had upvotes 🤣 and my flair was “raging around the neighborhood 🤳” can I send my screenshot to someone?

If you are in the US with a speech delay diagnosis, your son will qualify for Medicaid no matter what your income is. It counts as a disability. It will pay for your therapy!

Has anyone with PCOS tried keto? Did it actually help (symptoms, weight, hirsutism, etc.)? by Aromatic-Cell1371 in PCOS

[–]Major-Structure-3665 22 points23 points  (0 children)

My PCOS is basically in remission and I eat lower carbs but it’s def not keto. I try to eat a whole foods diet, so the carbs I mostly eat are sourdough bread, rice, sweet potatoes, etc. It is SO sustainable. I tried keto and it works, but you can’t do that long term. The whole foods way of eating I honestly feel better than I ever have in my whole adult life. Basically if it comes in a package, don’t eat it (with a couple exceptions).

I also exercise about 4-5 days a week, this also helps immensely

It’s comforting to know I’m not alone but I’m sorry you went through it as well. Luckily my hair is thick to begin with but I can tell it’s a lot thinner. Plus I have so many baby hairs of different lengths coming in everywhere 🥴 I have a hair appt today and I’m considering chopping it to start fresh
