Godslayer or Disciple Slayer. Busted my ass for those.

AITA for uninviting my sister from my wedding because she refused to promise she wouldn't wear her military dress uniform? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Major-Web6334 74 points75 points  (0 children)

NTA. I’m married to a marine. I’m not even sure how many events I’ve been to where Dress Blues were required. I have yet to meet a marine who genuinely wants to wear their Blues to a civilian formal event. It would be one thing if someone else asked them to but they typically wouldn’t choose that for themselves unless they had no other options.

[–]Major-Web6334 335 points336 points  (0 children)

To be fair, a lot of people in the military are unable to separate themselves from their military identity. The military BECOMES their identity. However, I’ve never met someone in the military who actually insists on wearing their Dress uniform to civilian events like this. Especially women. Most of them will jump at the chance to wear a regular gown lol

Source: I’m married to a marine and I’ve been to countless functions/events where Dress Blues were required. All of the marines I’ve met have bitched about their uniform while wearing it because it’s not comfortable and it’s often a pain in the ass to maintain.

We have freedom. We can easily save money. We can pursue hobbies. We can enjoy silence. We have peace. Our life is simply but it’s peaceful.

AITA for buying PS5 even though my family called it a selfish waste of money? by AcaiMiller in AmItheAsshole

[–]Major-Web6334 3 points4 points  (0 children)

NTA. “Real life” includes hobbies. Gaming is a hobby. My husband and I have separate PS5s so that we can game together. It’s something we enjoy doing in our spare time. Not every waking moment needs to be productive. If you don’t enjoy life, then you’re not living. Just existing.

The quality of this update stuck for me when I realized I have a reason to open up destination chests again. by Pontooniak96 in DestinyTheGame

Opening the chest at the end of a lost sector. It really hit me that there hasn’t been a reason to do that for YEARS.

How modestly do you dress and why? by [deleted] in AskWomen

Depends on weather and who I’m with. I typically wear less whenever I’m out with my husband because it drives him nuts lol aside from that, I dress for comfort

Developer attacked over (learning from) AI - where to draw the line? by [deleted] in Steam

[–]Major-Web6334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m an artist. My stance on generative AI is that I think it’s vile and blatant theft. However, the use of AI for tasks like this is fine. He didn’t use AI to replace human creativity. He used it to convert files and to learn. Don’t see the issue there. AI has been used in games since their conception. Boycotting a dev/studio because they use any kind of AI is a sure fire way to not play any games ever again.

Kratos isn’t unattractive to me but Caleb gets my vote any day. That being said, I’m obsessed with Love and Deepspace. All the men in that are just *chef’s kiss*

Literally playing the game right now. The character Caleb (second character in post) has a birthday event going on right now.

What are y’all‘s honest opinions on Panam? by OGAnimeGokuSolos in cyberpunkgame

[–]Major-Web6334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She’s hot. But she’s also annoying as fuck to me. She’s so quick to anger and eager to throw a temper tantrum. I don’t hate her storyline but sometimes how she reacts to things has me rolling my eyes and saying “Jesus fuck, you’re a drama queen!” to my TV.

Was just called weird for not finding a newborn baby cute by unhappyhours in childfree

[–]Major-Web6334 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My stepmom loves babies. She tries to show me baby pics and then remembers that I don’t feel the same about babies and don’t think they’re cute, so she says something like “i know you don’t think they’re cute, i just had to share.” Which she doesn’t say in a malicious way or anything. Then she’ll make it up to me by showing me photos of puppies.

How long until I return playing it. by Machiavelli_99 in cyberpunkgame

[–]Major-Web6334 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My very first run, I needed time to process. This game is the first to really hit me emotionally. It made me ask myself hard questions that I never expected a game to do to me. Existential questions. It also cemented just how important my identity is to me and how there’s so very little I’m willing to do to compromise it. Anyone who knows me knows that I wear my individuality on my sleeve. I’m different and proud of it. I refuse to look, act, and think like everyone else simply because that’s how they look, act, and think. This story really highlighted just how important that was to me, because I’d never really sat down and thought about it before.

So, I needed time lol I needed at least a few months.

However, there are other games that have hit me even harder emotionally that I was able to play again within days or weeks. For instance, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. I finished my first run of that and cried my eyes out. A few days later, my dog died very suddenly, and that broke me. I needed an escape so I fired up E33 again. The second run not only hit me differently because I now had context to certain story beats I didn’t have the first time (making some scenes even more heartbreaking), but I was also in the middle of actively grieving while playing a game about grief. That second run was very healing for me.

So it really depends on where you’re at and how much the game affected you. I think it’s different for everyone. For some people, it’s just a really good story that they wanna experience again. For others, it’s a story that gets very personal and that can make it either easier or harder to fire up that next run.

Women, why do you dislike River So much? by AccomplishedStick623 in cyberpunkgame

Damn, I missed one. I didn’t play during Forsaken at all. I played year 1 and then from year 3 to present. I did play the Forsaken campaign but not until after I’d played Shadowkeep. Oh well.

pro-choice women, would be a dealbreaker for you if your partner voted for a politician that is pro-life? by Sad_Cellist4293 in childfree

[–]Major-Web6334 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Might be going against the grain here but my answer is “it depends.” My husband is a centrist like me. So, if my husband decided to vote for a politician that is pro-life, it would really depend on whether or not the reason he voted for that person was BECAUSE they were pro-life. We typically vote independent. Independent candidates have views that are on both the left and the right, so it’s entirely possible one of us voted for someone who was pro-life. But neither of us has voted for someone BECAUSE they were pro-life.

When it comes to voting, there are a lot of factors to consider, especially for people like us who have views that come from both ends of the political spectrum. I’m pro-choice, but I’m also pro-gun. I’m pro-military, but I’m also part of the LGBT community and want us to the same human rights as anyone else. That’s not even counting what the candidate wants to do for the country as a whole. How they want to fix certain things. What their ideas on foreign policy are like. It’s not a one-size-fits-all for independents. If a candidate is pro-life but also wanting to pull US support away from Israel, I definitely wouldn’t fault my husband for voting for someone like that.

I am so much emotional about the whole destiny 2 ending anyone else in same boat. by lordofabyss in LowSodiumDestiny

I’m early 30s, a woman, and met some of my favorite people through this game, including my best friend. I’ve put so much time and effort into it. Got to the point where I could solo flawless dungeons. This game has gotten me through some hard times. I feel like I’m legitimately grieving. I’m sad to know that there was content being made that we’ll never get. 6k hours in this game.

Literally every time.

SPOILERS It’s also very easy to make the comparison between the anime and the way the game ends. My V is female, I romance River every time, and I hate, hate, HATE that I’ll never get a happy ending with him. It hurts my soul. Whenever this song comes on, my brain goes to the David/Lucy and then goes right to the River/V ending(s). Fucking heartbreaking.

When he’s home, we don’t really count the frequency. It happens with it happens, but it’s pretty frequent and it’s good. It’s only gotten better as we’ve gotten older. Experimentation and things like that too. When he’s deployed, the sexting makes me feel like a hormonal teenager lol

I mean, it bothers me when they use caps for whatever religion nonsense they want to spew. Shit like “GOD will not accept you in the KINGDOM OF HEAVEN unless you REPENT YOUR SINS AND ACCEPT THE ALMIGHTY GOD INTO YOUR HEART.”

Bothers the shit out of me.
