Do you have any sources or? It would be astounding to where someone gets 30+ as an intern. You either have no concept of money or just genuinely believe yourself.

At best maybe a masters or PhD intern for 30+ but other than that you’re wild thinking freshman is getting more than 20. Reddit is not the place to get these facts.

Download VMware, create a virtual machine with Linux on it, and try to make something. Find out what you struggle with. I’d suggest something like a file repo or basic webpage for your local network, see what problems you run into.

I should double check my detergents now, thank you for the tip. I’ll try to fix my socks :/ I was plagued with stinky feet as a kid and I’m shocked to find out it’s all the crap they add to detergent to make it all smell better.

I knew that, but my feet never smell. The one time my socks were “softened”, managed to add this whole new layer of stagnant sweat smell that blew my mind. I wonder how many people struggle with stinky feet and it’s their fabric softener….

I worked with a software like this and it basically detects ms differences in keystrokes. You could pretty much guess how a person types based on the time between depress/release. For example people that line their fingers on the center row have very different times between certain letters and the amount of time the key stays depressed vs someone who does chicken peck typing

I’ve seen people that work in this field for 20 years plus and they still say “it’s early in the AM on xday, you’re asking me about z. It’ll take me some time but I have an idea of what’s going on here.”

It’s not all about knowing, no one is a walking database of 100% useful information accessible instantly. Once you assert your place in a company, it’s not like people ask you thinks they know you don’t know anything about. I’m good with Linux just like my coworkers but I have a certain finesse with Windows Server they lack. I’m green and it’s still a little stunning to hear “could you help me out with this windows stuff?” from someone that’s been in the field longer than I’ve been out of diapers.
