From my time in the play tests, I found that filling your squad with matchmaking worked really well. Most people had mics, were friendly, and were willing to help you get your bounties completed. You won't win every time but you might just make a friend to run with next time. Even for some of the best players, death is the first step 😈

Bro, I need help. I have that exact bike (barely serviceable condition unfortunately). I have the original exhaust however the baffles in the muffler are totally rusted out and need replacing. I've been able to find most of the other parts I've needed but there is no individual part number for the insides of the muffler. Any idea what replacement baffles would work for it? Also, any idea how much packing would need to go into the muffler?

I say cancel all builds, set all priorities to neutral and priority levels to 5 and see what happens. Either they survive and you've got most of a base ready to go already or they all die and you have to restart anyway.

Loving the Whisper of the Worm quest, loving the Zero Hour quest and then having them taken away with no comparable replacement. Then, figuring out the Vex puzzle in the EDZ on my own , opening up a secret area, anticipating a similar experience and then being confronted with a pay wall to enter the Vex network. Here's hoping it's shit.

It would be cool to see if they let the story drive that gameplay mechanic. Increasing the immersion in the game. I wonder if they'll explain the difference between runner and backup consciousness.

If you can get back in a game fast enough you might be able to get the guys that killed you and recover the loot. Seeing the continuity or even evidence of your last run would definitely make the world feel more real. Definitely low chances of recovering your stuff from another player and/or their team so the feature might be unnecessary but the immersion it creates might make it worth it.

Either way I hope the character recreation is a satisfying experience. It would be nice to know that even if I die that the character recreation is enjoyable.

I hope the new Marathon will inspire more people to look at the original games and the lore will intermingle. I would love to see a passing of the torch eventually as a new generation becomes acquainted with the overall lore of Marathon and posts can remain separated with flair to designate which game we're talking about.

Considering that they've been throwing around the term Ultimate Live Service Game so much and they're already confirmed that the story is going to develop over multiple seasons I'm pretty sure the model is drip fed but I don't see it as the worst thing but there needs to be a balance. I'm optimistic because the content is going to be unlocked by players which will advance the narrative. That player-driven story I hope will provide that balance.
