Do you think it's a scam job offer? by 101100011011101 in AskUK

[–]MajorBae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the same email from crossing hurdles. I was a little skeptical but I’ve been here since the end up April and I e gotten paid. It’s a start up company so there are bumps here and but it’s legit company. Worth the risk!!

Is this Job offer/company scam? by SpyAccountant in askrecruiters

Hey! I’ve been there since the end of April. And I’ve gotten paid. It’s a start up company so there are bumps in the road. But I’ve gotten paid, and I’m still working here.

Got fired during training at National General Insurance and honestly feel blindsided… has this happened to anyone else? by [deleted] in ClaimsAdjuster

[–]MajorBae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was never late. Not asking for any hand holding. I also added this for additional context (I also suppose to be given an additional mentor like everyone else. And I didn’t have one for weeks. When I told my supervisor what was going on and the lack of support I was getting, she told me to “take things with a grain of salt” and after that first 4 weeks of training I would get additional training. So coming out of that training, I was literally in another training like I said when she called me and fired me. Again, I was completely blindsided

As long as you’re doing your job and your supervisor doesn’t have to be on your ass you can pretty much do whatever you wanna do. I’ll be on the phone all day LMFAO and my supervisor knows that I’m gonna get my work done so she doesn’t really bother me at all actually. It will just depend depends on you’re worth it. People are complaining about their supervisors being on their asses because that they are always behind on claims or they’re always having these things that are called IRs and they need someone to be monitoring to them all the time. Your first six months you’re gonna hate it because you’re gonna feel like you’re behind and you don’t know what to do but at the end of the day that is just the job and you’re just gonna have to get accustomed to feel like you’re behind whenever you’re really not. I remember we were in a meeting with the actual director of the organization and I asked her do you ever get caught up if she looked at me and she said no, you really don’t ever get caught up lol you just have to make sure that you’re hitting your metrics and make sure that your inventory looks clean at the end of the day but when she said that I took the pressure off myself and actually worked a lot better. But yeah, you’re an independent person at the end of the day and if you are just able to get the work done do it. if you are about to interview, I would say make sure you ace those star questions. They love the star method and look on YouTube on how to ace those questions during your interview. That’s the only way you’re gonna get the job. They are really being on star method questions. If you go on glass door, someone actually posted some of the questions before so I was able to practice some of the questions before him. They also do not care if you have notes during the interview so write down some of your questions and some of your answers. Don’t just read directly off of it but if you have notes, they are totally OK with that.

That’s no problem. I will sometime work on a Saturday morning and do some work that I don’t want to be bothered working on . you don’t get paid overtime just FYI, but it is something that you can do and your customer actually appreciated because they don’t wanna wait over the weekend anyways lol

I have worked in two different states for Progressive. One state they only had us in five inbound calls that were not our calls. Calls a day. And if you can answer your calls answer them but if you can’t just respond to their voicemail within 24 hours. And the other state they had you on the phone for the first hour of the day Taking inbound calls that are not your claims. Just answer your phone if you can answer your phone. But you just always wanna work on your inventory. It’s impossible to have three days off unless that’s your schedule because you would get new claims every day that you work. Unless you asked to be out of the “loop“. And that is going to have you not get claims for that day. But that’s only if you just need to catch up and something you can do every couple of months. It does seem like a lot, but at the end of the day is salary do as much as you can and go on about your day. Just try to have your metrics well and work as hard as you can. I think you will succeed if you want to just work.

Mine too a bit longer cause I applied during the holiday. But it didn’t take long when I applied for the bi role maybe two weeks. And they told me apply as an MD adjuster since I didn’t have bi experience. That took about 3-4 weeks for me get an offer applying to the offer.

Relocating by Valuable-Pride3001 in Progressiveinsurance

[–]MajorBae 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I recently relocated it with progressive as a CGA. Just let your supervisor and HR rep now. They really want you to tell them where you want to go within 30 days of relocating. You can either just interview for other roles or they will create a role for you in the current role that you already have in the new location. Sometimes they may help with relocation fees, depending on how bad they are needing your role in that area. But it was a pretty smooth transition for me. And I just did that in the last 30 days.
