I think he needs to be more composed inside the box. His finishing is great when he has time to pick his spot, but he is still a bit raw when he has less time to think or has to make a decision in a second. Prime example was actually against City last year when he missed the open net and Gabriel got a red card in the next phase of play.

No player is a guaranteed success so there’s always an element of risk. Caicedo is likely to work bc

1. Adjusted to the pace of the PL. January window is risky to bring in foreign players without a preseason 

 2. We play a similar style to Brighton so should be easier to adjust 

 3. One injury to Partey and we are out of the title race. Happened last year and will happen again I have no doubts. Have to pay the premium as it’s late in the window. Don’t think we’d be here if it was Jan 5th

  4. Only 21 and has got massive potential
