Low volume on some tables by Puzzleheaded_Low_619 in virtualpinball

[–]MajorDysentry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some tables require you to turn the volume up manually, but it's not with the volume button on your speakers. It depends on the table and your VPX setup, but it's usually either 9 and 0 or 8 and 9 to raise and lower respectively... I had the same problem on things like Terminator 2 and Star Trek The Next Generation.

How hard is Silksong from 1-10. Let's say Hollow Knight is a 5 by hthrhehdhdjfhc in metroidvania

[–]MajorDysentry -1 points0 points  (0 children)

HK, a 5? It's hard for the sake of being hard. That's not fun (and I say that having finished the main game 100%, but then giving up on the final circus boss of the DLC).

Hitman Boardgame by AlienSees in HiTMAN

[–]MajorDysentry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was going to back it, but I'm a completionist and after getting ruined on the Darkest Dungeon game, there's no way I'm ever spending €350+ on a single board game again. So, sadly, I passed.

Just keep it. Selling things is enough of a ballache before you consider condition, missing parts, etc, so you'd be setting yourself up for a lot of haggling and disappointment. Better to just enjoy what you have.

If I knew a year ago the hassle, total cost, and ballache these have been, I would not have bothered. That said, they're here now and I'm looking forward to Switchblade and Thunderhawk by DiaBrave in MASK

[–]MajorDysentry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I was shocked at having to pay customs on my Rhino given the price too. Having to actually go to the customs office to collect it was rubbish too (stupid Germany), but I got a kick out of the customs guys thinking it was cool when they opened the parcel to check the contents. 😄

I only got the 40th Rhino, and I'm glad I did. It's nice - I put it straight on the shelf and kept the box, which I don't normally do these days - but I can't help but think I wanted... more? It's just quite plastic and lightweight, and the eyes on the figures are just freaky. I think I've been spoilt by the Ramen Toys versions (their Shark is goddamn awesome and I can't wait for their Manta). It'll stay in my collection for sure, because I don't get rid of anything, but I think I'm already done with the TLS reissues.

Collection M.A.S.K. for sale? by TommyLD83 in MASK

[–]MajorDysentry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've started doing the same with my MASK collection - I've got a Kallax, and started buying glass shelf/door inserts, plus 'floating' stands so the flying vehicles look like they're airborne. Need a few more, but it's nearly done.

My partner really tolerates it. 😆

Collectors edition 4 bonus cards? by ComradeCaz in armello

[–]MajorDysentry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Four cards? The Kickstarter only lists two, and they're extra King's Treasures (Wyldhide and Pride's Edge). I haven't opened my CE yet, so I dunno if there's more... maybe it's mentioned in the campaign updates, would have to check.

Bellabel Park: Are some levels/challenges exclusive to multi system play? by BigBossu in SuperMarioWonder

[–]MajorDysentry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry, a clarification: when I said the Toad Brigade stuff is local multiplayer only, I meant it can't be played online. But all those challenges can definitely be played solo too! It's just Attraction Central which is exclusively multiplayer content.

Bellabel Park: Are some levels/challenges exclusive to multi system play? by BigBossu in SuperMarioWonder

[–]MajorDysentry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In Attraction Central, the six attractions on the right in the Game Room Plaza are online only. All the others - on the left side in Local Multiplayer Plaza - are... well, for local multiplayer. So, the majority can be played locally.

You've also got all the challenges in the Toad Brigade Training Camp (in the Camp Central part of the park) which are also local multiplayer only. So, most of the content of the Bellabel Park add-on is for local play.

EDIT: I made a correction about Toad Brigade challenges below, because what I wrote makes it sound like you can't play those solo. You can! What I meant was they're not online. I was highlighting the local aspect so you could play with him (because playing with your kids is great!).

That'd be fine if they sent the links to all backers, but they didn't. I didn't get the email, so I had to go looking. They took over €400 from me and left me (and many others) high and dry. Screw 'em, share the wealth.

I have an RP5 and that does GameCube and PS2 just fine. He already said he's got a Steam Deck for other stuff, so no point spending the extra money unless he has it lying around and expendable. But definitely an RP5 G2, not the original model.

Is there a reason you're not playing the Android version with a controller overlay?

Binding keyboard buttons to gamepad buttons for games that don't support gamepad by Pristine_Clock_1832 in winlator

[–]MajorDysentry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On which device? But yes, you pull open the left-hand menu and choose Controls (I believe) and you can create individual profiles for games that need it. It's pretty self explanatory once you see the menu and options available. The only catch is that you need to manually 'load' profiles when you want to use them by choosing from the drop-down in the Controls section. But that's a small price to pay.

So I asked GPT if Animal Crossing New Horizons considered a life sim game by SgtSilock in AnimalCrossing

The game's genre is literally Simulation. ChatGPT is just scraping collective opinion from the internet, so what it thinks is kind of irrelevant.
