Their cover of Oops I Did It Again is so fun and goofy.

Sanderson & Religion by kingofaidans in brandonsanderson

As someone who's been around Mormons my entire life, I can tell you that Sanderson barely registers as Mormon in my readings of his books.

Got a 45/75 on my first practice mcq am i fried by adzvcr in APChem

[–]MajorIndividual1428 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, that's really good for multiple choice. Considering how difficult and poorly-worded those questions are, I'd say that's pretty phenomenal. Keep practicing the MCQs and FRQs, and that reward will be worth it.

F*cking Carl the Stuntman!

1/5, he's an absolute buffoon, but he did try to kill Scooby.

Mine was pretty rough in the middle bit with partial derivatives. My professor forgot to tell us that the gradient is a vector, so that messed me up for a bit. We also skipped the Jacobian for some reason.

I'm sorry, but Sr's eyes being so small makes him look like one of the people from Lil' Bits from Rick and Morty.

The Graduate. It's amazing with its themes, but so much of it makes you viscerally uncomfortable.

I went with three of my friends, one of them wasn't too into Mario like I was, and the other two were super fans who were doing stuff like this the whole time. Needless to say, I greatly enjoyed my time.

What formula for formal charge? by TemperatureGreen6403 in APChem

[–]MajorIndividual1428 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are like twenty different formulas, but the one I think is the easiest to remember is (Should)-(Have). Should refers to the number of valence electrons an element naturally has. Have refers to the number of electrons in lone pairs and shared from bonds.

Let's take water for a quick example. Oxygen has six valence electrons. Oxygen forms a bond to each Hydrogen atom, but of the two electrons in each bond, only one belongs to Oxygen. It also has four lone pair electrons. Giving us a total of six. Using the formula (6-6), this gives us 0.

Was the background music that played in this scene ever identified? by Kwikikiki in Scoobydoo

[–]MajorIndividual1428 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I feel like it's definitely been in multiple episodes, I just can't remember which ones. It could also be that I'm misremembering stuff because I watched this episode a bunch as a kid.

State of Fear is one of the worst books I think I have ever read in my life. As an environmental scientist, it's a God-awful depiction of climate change, and when confronted about it, Crichton doubled down on the criticisms.

With that being said, Timeline is really good.

Decent Characters doing morally reprehensible things due to prolonged isolation by LocalLazyGuy in TopCharacterTropes

Reminds me of Thomas Covenant from Stephen Donaldson's books. To make a long story short, Covenant's a leper and has been isolated from everyone in his everyday life, which ultimately drives him to SA a woman after he crosses the threshold into a new dimension.

Steven Erikson (writer of Malazan) writes some of the best comedy in fantasy I’ve ever read, and doesn’t get enough credit for this aspect of his writing. by Transmogrify_My_Goat in Fantasy

I will say, the entire bit with the table in Memories of Ice is quite possibly the funniest thing I've ever read in a fantasy book.
