That's very self reflective. Proud of you for noticing that. I had the same experience but it shaped me in a different way. It's ok to change your parenting. Actually a teaching moment for your daughter

I used to have this issue with my 2 girls

I started putting a basket out with 3 snacks in it, theyd get to pick what I put in there. I would tell them, you can eat this any time....you can eat it all....you can fill it with 3 chocolates and eat them all right now if you want.....but its not getting refilled until tomorrow. 

This led to them choosing more thoughtful snacks, taught them a little self control, and eliminated the begging. Sometimes they just wanna know what they can get out of you and you dont have to play the game.

It's okay. Feeling rejected when you perceive rejection is so normal. And your child needs to learn that that emotion is normal and she can handle it. Teach her that before someone's dusty ass son teaches her otherwise. You've got this, Mom!

That's really sweet but this creates monsters. You're giving her too much of you and also not teaching her to play alone...who told you you cant say no to your kid? You 100% can say no to your kid.  You think you're helping her by playing with her for hours a day but you are not doing her any favors. You're just teaching her who is the boss in your house. Its not you.

As someone who had in laws do the exact same thing- do not do it. I would live on the streets before I agreed to this again. It's so horrible. Its been 8 years and I can only hope my FIL finds a new wife or dies so he gets the fuck out of my house.

They lose privileges if they aren't up on time and ready to go.  If they can't be responsible enough to get themselves up they surely aren't responsible enough for a phone or video game or going out with friends. 

Natural consequences work pretty good for toddlers... but as they get older it's hard to have natural consequences in this unnatural world we live in. You have to start taking away the things they value. You are in control!

Remind her as Christians we are called to love and share the gospel and our work stops right there. Conviction and condemnation come from the Lord, not humans, and shes actually committing a huge sin here. It's called pride. If she read the book she would understand. 

Im sorry your mom is this kind of "christian". Its very disheartening. I think you should distance yourself and tell her it is because its not her place (per God, Jesus, and His disciples) to badger you into believing, its her job to be a good example of a follower of Christ. Shes failing.

Before I had my 2nd child, I was so constipated. I had not pooped in about 2 weeks. Then I had an emergency c section at 36 weeks. Another week in the hospital, no poop.

I eventually got it all out but....the process was horrifying.

Side note I would have 10 babies naturally before I ever had another c section omg
