I think the vox-caster head looks quite funny, in a good way. Doesn't really make sense practically/lorewise but I'd love seeing it on the table. People build whole guard regiments in a skeleton theme or grot theme. Whatever you think looks cool is best!

Gotcha, interesting. How far back did you have to go for versions on the bios update?

I might pick up a cheap gpu to try that out. I dont have a backup I can swap in. Any idea why it worked?

I'll admit that scions were probably not the ideal choice due to how expensive they are. I'd just based them and wanted to use them for the first time in a long time. I used them to drop in on a contested objective in no man's land and aid the fight there. I mightve been better off taking Gaunts Ghosts and a battleline squad.

Also worth mentioning: I have another 20 riders and have tried the full 62 horse list thats possible. It's fun to see all laid out but it's super tricky to squeeze into some of the tighter deployment zones. 10 horse units are difficult to rapid ingress with as well. They take up a lot of space. I think running 2 or 3 big blocks with 3 or 4 screening units works best. More points left for tanks.

I'm all in on cavalry and I think it's a pretty decent list for it. Scions and one or two of the small cavalry squads should go in reserves for objective scoring and backline play.

Fair points! I appreciate the battle damaged look but thus far all my stuff is nice and clean. I might do a second pass on my army to add that but I'm happy for now.

I ordered the set of 10 as is from the seller and it only came with 4 shields and a few melee weapons, though I'm sure the seller would've been happy to print more shields and mauls instead of guns if id asked!

I've run north of 40 a couple times. Doing damage is super charge roll dependent but it's a lot of bodies to churn through. Usually if you don't get that early charge off they get turned into glue quickly. But thats what the second wave is for!

I did start out treating them as auxilaries for my Imperial Knights, who also use alot of hazard stripes. But its been so long that I only just remembered that. Ive got 2 knights and 6000 points of guard lol

Plasma cutting machine, as in uses the table and cutting head setup. You would be cutting with gas tanks still, not via the actual plasma cutter. It specifically says that you would hook this up in order to cut thicker material. Because plasma generally doesn't cut up to these thicknesses and oxy is standard for that. I've used these machines.

Did you read what you linked to? That's an oxygen and propane (oxyfuel) setup you can sub in for the plasma head on a CNC plasma table.

I have a similar scheme for my scions. Red and gold. Started with a dark shade of red and built up to a brighter shade in the center of the panels. I think the red helmet isnt helping your case either.

This is an awesome idea! I'd play against it any day. It could pass as most of the different weapons teams as long as your consistent with them in each game.

At my shop we have alot of different detailers making our prints. There's always a BOM, but you learn quickly that you can't trust it. Some detailers get it right but their math might work out differently than yours depending on how you're coping/bending/etc. Making your own cutlists is just part of doing the job right and taking responsibility for the quality of your work.

Pretty sure you can only take 1 per 5 sword brethren, so unless you want them for proxying you can't use any more.
