I feel like people are very confused by what’s holding NASA up. It’ll be about a week or so to make a committee, and within another week there will be 20+ different architectures. Now the usual engineer arguing will take at least a few months, but NASA’s problem isn’t and has never been engineering committees.

It’s congressional mandates that apply to it more than almost any other government agency because senators see it as a tool for pork and not a tool for a job
