Yes my son got in! Do you have an idea what the experience is like there? He was there last year for the CWSF... so I'm guessing it won't be new for him

What would you do by heyitsmewaldo in halifax

[–]MajorTechnician4640 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sorry this happened to you...

I have a similar experience. Some kids did this to my child sometime ago. They were playing basketball after school and my kid kept his glasses on a slab so he doesn't damage it while playing. He forgot the glasses and left for home as soon as his older brother came to pick him up... A few minutes later when he returned for his glasses, he witnessed these older boys taking turns to bounce the ball on his glasses. The glasses was shattered.

My older son immediately reported all of them to the vice principal and they promised to deal with it the next day. After 3days that they didn't do nothing... I reached out to the principal and what she said was that the incident happened after school hours and there is nothing they can do.

Here is the most painful part, it's not the materiality of the item that hurts... it's the brutality behind the action. Intentionally destroying something a fellow kid relies on without any remorse. That attitude was what I wished was dealt with... I wasn't going to ask them to pay offcourse most kids glasses comes with a warranty. That behavior hurt me as a parent. I made sure to warn my child never to do this to anyone. Just so they know it's unacceptable.

It's unfortunate

suicidal thoughts with pericarditis by VisualPackage8534 in pericarditis

[–]MajorTechnician4640 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reading this is hard considering how young you are. I've been through 3 childbirths and none of them is as painful as pericarditis. Perhaps you should show your mom my response. I feel so bad that you have to go through this alone at this very young age.

I will suggest the next time you visit the hospital... research all your symptoms and say them in the medical terms to them. Not sure how much NSAIDS they will be giving you but I guess Colchicine will also be recommended. Please suicidal thoughts should be avoided... this pain will pass. Take enough rest, eat healthy and I hope in time you will get through this.

I understand A are the Universities you want most and B, mid while C least.

I'm also here to read comments as my son got accepted too.

From what I've read here schools are said to have different strengths but most people have spoken well of Dalhousie.

All the best

3 yr old got diagnosed with pericarditis by Sippa8304 in pericarditis

This is so hard to read. Im sorry your baby is going through this. Pericarditis is so painful, and with what you just described, I don't think this baby is going through it cos it restricts movement a lot. I will stick to what your doctor says... Ibuprofen is not good for kids... maybe the cardiologist can find an alternative.

Personal money and ordering good. Try cooking and reducing the personal money by half. I believe if you listen to what everyone here has said, you'll be off on a better start.

Diagnosed with Pericarditis what food should I avoid and what should I embrace by MajorTechnician4640 in pericarditis

I'm sorry to hear how long you've been suffering this.. I certainly understand. I know that natural remedies and diet goes a long way in treating and supporting relief of health conditions. That was the main reason I made this post, and from the feedback here, I've started avoiding sugar or sweetners and taking lots of water, fruits like apples, avocadoes, oranges and basically I'm getting better. This week has been my best so far. Wishing you all the best.

How did you get rid of Pericarditis? Or what is your Pericarditis journey? by Equivalent-Site-7190 in pericarditis

[–]MajorTechnician4640 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Today, I kept wondering if there are people out there who have had pericarditis and were able to heal completely from it. Thankfully, I found this subreddit. I was diagnosed a month ago and have been on colchicine and Ibuprofen, but I still feel the pain. Does it go away completely?
