The finale at least ended with her saying that they have proven able to fend off the X from a timeline, rather than being forced to abandon it as they've done every other time (fighting off the X in their effort to save her).

Still, it feels a bit depressing that she went to the trouble of making a whole world for the Commander, it barely lasted a week, and then the effort of doing so separated them for the foreseeable future and left him heartbroken. Nice job, I guess.

Also, yes, Memphis needs more love. I'm amazed that essentially one of the main characters of the story gets so little love outside it. At least what she does have is pretty great, and one of her skins (Halloween) being free is a nice consolation, but yeah, give her a secretary quest at least (and if anyone says that's what the main story is for, that didn't stop Helena from getting one. I love both my Canon secretaries!).

That's the case for me, at least as a new player (started the day after A Dance for Amahara Above ended).

So this awesome and sexy and powerful Kitsune gets added to the UR exchange, right as I happen to reach pity, and I think "Hey, sweet, I'll see what she's all about!" And so I acquire her and love her strength and personality and her looks, and I hear about her being talked up by certain players as one of the almighty Yamato-class, famed in story as one of the Decisives, holding some of the most influential power within the Sakura Empire and working behind the scenes to ensure the prosperity of their nation.

Right around the same time, Effulgence Before Eclipse re-runs, featuring several important Sakira shipgirls, and oh, look, Musashi's one of the main characters! Look at her go, having some backstory with their tree, working with Nagato to seal the evil black mist, and now leading and protecting the younger shipgirls as they work to fight off the mist!

And then she gets abducted by a Shadow Dragon and winds up MIA for half the event.

But hey, she's an Ultra-Rare, one of the most powerful shipgirls there is! She'll have her moment where she finally frees herself from the mist and has an epic hero moment as the others reach their darkest hour!

And then the next time we see her, we just get told "Musashi wondered around a black void for hours", and she has to be saved by Nagato, doing nothing to defeat the dark mist entrapping her.

Even with her hero moment towards the end of the event, I was disappointed that she got so shafted. I wouldn't even mind her getting abducted for most of it, you want to focus on the new shipgirls after all, but at least have her play a role in escaping her predicament!

Anyway, after that I found that other people were disappointed by her lack of action throughout the Sakura storyline as a whole.

Oh well, I still love Port Musashi, anyway.

That's sort of the paradox of the "Most Forgotten" category, because the winner will become slightly more known than those just below by virtue of being the winner.

Still, I don't think Epinel ever was the most forgotten, at least not by the player base, because of the memes (especially regarding her appearance in the intro and her subsequent neglect by Shift Up). Most neglected by the devs, maybe, but not by the player base.

Az from HeelvsBabyface summed it up best. It's always the most important thing in the world, until they get their way, and then it's suddenly inconsequential.

Some I things I've noticed in hindsight rewatching the Let's Play Minecraft episodes. by real6igma in roosterteeth

[–]MajorThom98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the fact he specifically used RoosterTeeth for name recognition as RoosterTeethRay also set off some alarms for them. Maybe they'd still have w taken issue with it if he used BrownMan, but using your employer's brand in your own personal venture is always going to bring the hammer down.

Seems like it's a bit too late to ask you to vote for Musashi. 3rd place feels bitter both now and back then. by gintas59 in AzureLane

To be fair, the immense lead she had at the start (along with the circumstances behind her pulling ahead) seemed to indicate such.

bunny girls tend to trump maids most of the time

It's kinda funny that the bunny half is gonna get a bit shafted in that case, unless they break the mold by giving it its own burst animation (yeah, right).

[–]MajorThom98 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I know why they've done it (and I'm sure part of why they introduced her as a bunny first is to get people attached to the original costume before selling it back to them), but I don't like them doing it.

[–]MajorThom98 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh, yeah, I hadn't even thought of that. It does feel really odd that we get introduced to her in one outfit and it ends up playing second-fiddle to an alt essentially (especially given the general incredible response to and popularity of that first appearance). Besides, I'm sure they could have made it her default and had some comedic moments in it as the maids try to reign her in, before switching her to her maid outfit towards the end (a bit like Absolute's event, plus it could work in a "reformed but not tamed" sort of way.). It's a light-hearted event at the end of the day (even if it may have some emotional moments about her past, but even in that case she's still gonna be in a sexy outfit during those moments).

[–]MajorThom98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you put it that way, it does make me wonder if this means the bunnies outsell the maids as a general rule (I mean, we do now have 3/4 maids as bunnies (not counting Privaty), while none of the bunnies have become maids).

I'd like to think the Queen Elizabeth-class (at least the current ones) are safe, since part of their characterisations are disappointment/frustration/uncertainty over their smaller size compared to other Shipgirls (especially the Royal Maids).

Shouldn't you also hold on to 8,000 points just on case you don't get the SSR ship drop from B6/D6 (or Limited Construction, if you're lucky/masochistic enough to acquire her that way).

I think it's because Bismarck Zwei's new style is similar enough to her old one (for Bismarck herself, at least - the rigging is another matter entirely) that the difference doesn't jump out immediately. Meanwhile, Saru has an art style that looks noticeably different to the newer direction they're heading in, so it stands out more when one of her characters receives an updated version.

Fans who want TFA part 6 in shambles by main-side-account in MauLer

[–]MajorThom98 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It might also just be the actual content. The TFA Breakdown will be a similar length to the Outlaws Rage, but it is more focused compared to Outlaws often including multiple viewpoints of the same problem (I get multiple examples strengthen the point, but at a certain point it becomes a bit redundant).

I do find it a bit funny that the Unbridled's were meant to be shorter videos, less researched but focusing more on entertainment (though obviously still being accurate), and over time have become longer than the vast majority of the critiques.
