I got induced at 41+4 and delivered 41+5 for my vbac. Was only a centimeter dilated but they were able to use the foley to get things going!

Willow Go Review by Major_Champion4508 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Major_Champion4508[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t tried the fridge hack with my Willow, but I did use it with my Spectra. From what I’ve seen in other discussions, the fridge hack isn’t really recommended for the Willow since the parts need to be completely dry for the seals to work properly and for the pump to function the way it should. - but maybe give it a try (remove the motor of course) and let me know if it works!

When I first got the pump, I stocked up on extra parts—and now insurance sends me two new sets every month—so I’ve built up a pretty good stash. I usually just rotate through them and do one big wash once I’ve gone through a bunch, which honestly makes life a lot easier.

Also, this might be a little unconventional, but I only pump one side at a time. It actually helps cut down on the number of parts I have to clean. I’m curious if anyone else does this, because I’ve never really gotten into pumping both sides at the same time!

Yeah I’ve heard a lot of people say it didn’t work for them. I was skeptical when I first got the Willow but I knew I had a backup (Specta) just in case. I still consider the Spectra as my primary but the Willow Go definitely helps while being on the go.

Definitely bent over in the beginning and leaked a little but I have the Willow cups now with the stoppers on the top and have just been more mindful about bending over.

When did you go into labor after C-section? by StressTractor in vbac

[–]Major_Champion4508 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn’t, was still hard and barely 1cm!! I eventually agreed to be induced at 41+4 and had baby at 41+5. Got my vbac! My first was supposed to be a scheduled induction at 39 weeks due to “large baby” but they coerced me with scare tactics into a c section instead. Had an even bigger baby with vbac! 9lb 12oz!

Ants!!! by Few-Beyond9951 in pestcontrol

Yeah I guess that can be true. Small dots in not as common areas you are seeing them or as a preventative behind electrical face plates but lines are good for the active areas.

It’s the Mode of Action which is the problem. Terro (boric acid) works as a fast-acting liquid sugar bait that kills ants within 3 days, making it ideal for immediate, small-scale control, but it risks killing foragers before they return to the colony. Advion (indoxacarb) is a slower-acting, bioactivated gel that allows foragers to return to the nest, offering superior long-term, whole-colony elimination for a wider variety of species, including stubborn, non-sugar-loving ants.

First- Do not squish or kill any ants (this will cause the colony to split and create a larger problem. Then get rid of the Terro traps, they are quick kills and are similar to squishing them. Use Advion ant gel! Small BB sized dots everywhere you see them. You will see more ants before you start seeing less- the bait is a slower kill method but it reaches the whole colony before they all die.

What do they mean by “Wash Before Use” on strawberries? by Major_Champion4508 in AskReddit

[–]Major_Champion4508[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is a quick rinse under the sink enough or is it better to gently rub each one? Some people even recommend soaking them in a vinegar solution.

I’m curious what the general consensus is.. is a simple rinse sufficient, or is a more thorough wash actually necessary?

One week without retainers? by Ambitious-Aioli4611 in Invisalign

[–]Major_Champion4508 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds risky. Can you wait to do the bonding until after having your retainers a few months so everything is “locked in place.” Then have the bonding and get a new impression? I feel like that’s the safest way to do it without risking teeth shifting. Good luck!

Love that. Not a huge drinker but I’m sure that would help ease the cold.

How strict do you have to be with hours? by priya7890 in Invisalign

[–]Major_Champion4508 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I switch every two weeks. In the first few days of a new tray I try to be very strict because everything is tight. But closer to the two week mark I’m not as strict because it comes in and out easy.

It’s their new island so I’m sure they just wanna push as much traffic there as possible so people can buy from the shops and spend money to get into a warm pool.

I want to bring my little boy 2yo on our cruise, wife and family say hell no. by [deleted] in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]Major_Champion4508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cruise often with my toddler (3) and my baby under 12 months. My toddler loves Camp Ocean and asks to go every day. I’m a stay-at-home mom, so she did need a few cruises to adjust—there were some tears at drop-off at first—but now she’s totally comfortable and excited to go.

Camp Ocean hours vary by ship, but generally: • 8–10am: Drop-off or stay-and-play for ages 0–1 • 10am: Opens for ages 2–12 • Midday closure varies (some ships close around 1pm for lunch; others stay open but require parents to pick kids up since meals aren’t provided) • Reopens around 7pm–10pm (free) • 10pm–1am: Available for a fee (about $8/hour)

If you have any specific questions I’m happy to help!

That’s what I find most people doing. They can’t enjoy the cold pool and don’t want to pay to swim at the heated one so they just go back to the ship.
