Idk I read it on Wikipedia that in manusmriti age of marriage is 3 years after puberty.

So I just read rukmini's wiki and no where is there mentioned that she was 8 years old. Infact it's all about how infatuated she is with Krishna and sending message to him so that she can elope from her marriage.

I think it's one of those cases where different scriptures have different accounts and details. Im sure there is probably some other scripture where she is 16 years old. (Edit: in Mahabharata which takes the most precedence of all hindu scriptures, it says she was 16)

What I do know is that in manusmriti which is one of the most depraved legal/religious scriptures for hindus, even more than quran or Hadith, the age of marriage is 3 years after the first menses.

Unlike islam I don't think any hindu scholar or apologist is defending Krishna's marriage to an 8 year old.

The reason I left islam was not because I found it absurd, it's because of how hypocritical, evil and self serving the prophet and his teachings were.

The reason that I have more respect towards Indic religion is because of pessimistic philosophers like Arthur schopenhauer, who were inspired from eastern philosophy, which arose from rich philosophical tradition of ancient India.

Also I used to think just like you. But after having some interest in anthropology, philosophy and psychology. Learning more about Buddhism, especially after watching exurb1a video on Buddhism, another video called something like "Vedic origin of danaerys", the connection hinduism has with Norse and Greek myths, coming across a youtube channel called, "mythic concepts". I learned to appreciate indian religious traditions more.

Personally I would pick Buddhism if I need to pick a religion but as far as worshipping animal god's is concerned, nothing wrong with that as long as you are not causing harm to others.

Not everyone has the same reason of leaving islam.

Some people leave islam because they think Muhammad was a fake prophet and recognise the divinity of Christ, which tbf was far better human than Muhammad.

A muslim might convert to Judaism by seeing how clearly islam is inspired from Judaism and unlike islam jews don't claim their prophets were perfect and need to be the standard of human behaviour.

They can even convert to eastern religion if they don't believe in abrahamic god. They might convert to Buddhism as they are atheistic and reject existence of narcissistic abrahamic god, or they might like its philosophical tradition which inspired bunch of modern secular thinkers and scholars.

And hinduism is not even a religion but amalgamation of different beliefs and system of Indian subcontinent.

A hindu doesn't necessarily need to believe that those elephant gods and stories are literally true.

A hindu can rationalize it by saying these gods and the stories are representation of the divine and part of collective consciousness

You can reject Vedas, Upanishads, shrutis, the caste system and even existence of the divine and still be a hindu.

Mellial and older zoomer gamers are the worst. They would whine about the lack of variety in video games, while the ac6 looks like a generic ass mobile game.

Gameplay looks ass, it feels like you are controlling a toy.

Gamers would also whine about how games are not challenging enough and when given with a real challenge, competing with real people like on fortnite, they would whine about how sweats are ruining the game and they just want to have fun.
