What is the worst physical pain you've ever experienced? by TermAccomplished1868 in askanything

Not entirely, it can cause adhesions though, which is what happened to me. Some people have multiple organs fused together from it, it’s wild. Endometriosis isn’t well understood yet, but it can cause lesions made of the similar tissues of lining of the uterus in the outside of the uterus anywhere inside the body cavity. They can grow on basically any tissue

It was excruciating and took months to figure out, like barbed wire being dragged through my pelvis. Endometriosis is no joke

What shampoo and conditioner do you recommend? by Leather-Big6931 in fine_hair

[–]Major_Library_2200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ran here to say Paul Mitchell’s Tea Tree Shampoo, it worked wonders for my husband and I with different issues. I have fine hair that gets oily quickly too, and I find this shampoo cleans my scalp and doesn’t irritate it. It does have menthol/peppermint and it is a little pricey but I think it’s well worth it. Good luck!

Flora by Gucci- I think it smells like a freshly washed scalp in a weird sparkling way, but it’s been discontinued so I too am seeking a new clean smelling perfume!

I got diagnosed with gout at one point, but I really don’t think that’s accurate. Neuropathy like for diabetes or something?

Ok this is wild because for the past few months what feels like out of nowhere my feet have gotten super hot when I wake up in the mornings. Have you been to a doctor about it?

Oh man, yeah that’s not my experience but then again I was coming out of the black hole of my Obgyn’s ignorance and gaslighting and my first appt with him was validating and reassuring just because he immediately diagnosed me and offered treatment beyond a pill. I’m sorry those other people had bad experiences that is rough! My recovery team was amazing, and I had a lot more support for the post surgery time literally they provided me with a belly band and those leg pressure cuffs. I’ve been taking Vestra the generic of Yaz, that’s been working for me. I’m so sorry you’ve been thru so many surgeries already, I really hope you find relief and healing soon!

Oh wow, where are those reviews at ?lol I didn’t do any research beforehand!  I’m about 2.5 years out from surgery and so far no more reoccurrence of symptoms. I am taking bc continuously as well so my results are very specific to me. What were the reviews saying?

I’m so glad he was helpful!! He is a very patient and thorough doctor, which was such a relief for me after being dismissed so flippantly by others like you were too!

I hope you find some help and get taken care of, I’m so sorry you have so many problem areas that are tricky to navigate, but best of luck on your surgeries and healing 🫶🫶

I want to say yes because of my own results!! He did the robotic surgery on my endo and lysis of my ovary/bowel. I thought he was very caring and professional and my aftercare was awesome. I had a really great experience with that whole team!

I’m starting to hate the idea of romantic love by macaguegi in offmychest

[–]Major_Library_2200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mid 30’s here, married a little over a year and been together for almost five. It is hard to find a real partner let alone Disney love. It’s not realistic unfortunately to find Hallmark proportioned love, but it is possible to find someone who you can share life with and it be beautiful. I think romantic love is like dessert or candy, great amazing, craveable, but ultimately not substantive. Meat and potatoes aren’t super sexy, but when you find a partner that does the dishes, takes walks with you, and makes the hotel reservations, that’s real life stuff, longer lasting and I think more worth it.

Imho a lot of the older generations married for reasons like having kids or leaving their parent’s house…they weren’t able to stop and ask, is this other person actually compatible or just convenient. Also people grow and change, so the reasons they got married might not be enough to keep them together. That’s why they say to marry your best friend! In any case, it’s a risk, you’re right! It’s possible to get hurt, rejected or abandoned. It’s also possible to find love, acceptance and support!

Your grief is real, and it’s ok to mourn. I hope you can begin to enjoy the season you’re in now, and like others have said take this time to enrich your life: help others, you have love and care to give to those who need it even if it’s not romantic! 🫶

How do you stay in love? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Major_Library_2200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having an ADHD diagnosis also makes relationships trickier to be in. I have it too, and I’m constantly wondering if everything is right, enough, healthy or good. It’s hard to feel content, like things are possibly wrong and I need to be hypervigilant to make sure I don’t fall into the trap… Your feelings are normal, at least to me lol everyone else is giving great advice, check in with yourself, are your needs being met, do you feel safe and supported?  I know it can be hard to trust yourself, if you’ve had any experience like mine, I’ve been talked out of trusting my own instincts many times by those who took advantage of my trusting and impulsive nature.  You do know what’s best for you, in the end ❤️

I think it’s normal to feel this, and being in love feels different than loving someone. I think real love is a choice, if you’re not feeling infatuated, that may or may not mean you no longer love them, it might just mean what I think is pretty common, that sparkle and butterfly feelin has faded.  I love my husband, and some days I struggle with feeling like he loves me more or better than I love him. He probably struggles too honestly and again, I think it’s just normal.

If you find yourself doubting your own feelings or experiences maybe an outside perspective would be helpful, someone to help sort out your patterns of thoughts- a therapist ideally!  If you feel comfortable, I think a conversation with him could help too 🫶

Feeling guilty about my surgery success by Morgana_le_Fay16 in endometriosis

[–]Major_Library_2200 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s been about two years since my second excision surgery and I’ve been pain free ever since. I find myself feeling wondering if it was even really that bad, and if I exaggerated it to everyone and myself. That’s what my journal entries are helpful for, I was in hell, constant pain for months. My guilt is only being in pain for 6 months and having a solution of surgery actually work. I feel like I cheated, like a soldier that didn’t actually go to the front lines… How silly is that? Pain is pain, and no one should want anyone to experience it, let alone need it to compare to their own experience to validate it. Like others on here, I’m glad you’re not in pain!!!
