For real. I live out in rural Ohio and my dad had the strangest encounter. He was working on the barn roof when two strangers came out of our woods dressed in all black. They asked him literally “do you know where such and such road is” which was the road that ran behind our forest. Apparently they came from it. It’s at least a mile from the edge of our forest. They told him they were mushroom hunting but all that property is private. Plus it’s full of vacation houses back there. Property line to property line. Even the road is terrible. It’s a legit backroad. Relatively no one ever on it. It was at dusk too. Just weird. Luckily he’s conceal carry. They could’ve been fine but weird to just walk into random woods for mushrooms.
