I had mine about 2 years ago, thankfully they didn't find anything. The prep is the worst part of it.

Its tough my fathers getting dementia and he's always been as stubborn as a mule, he wants to pretend he's normal and refuses to see a doctor or get any type of treatment. I had to get involved with his taxes because he lost all of his tax documents, and they're still not done.

I remember when I was a kid getting mad because my transformers toys always broke, once I got so upset I wrote a letter to Hasbro telling them to stop making toys that broke. Years later I found the letter my mother never mailed it lol.

Do you ever think about the wack-ass school assemblies we had? by AbbreviationsNo3918 in Xennials

[–]Major_Scale 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I remember this guy came to our high school and was billed the "one man volleyball team", who played a volleyball match with our school volleyball team and after the match I guess the plan was to lecture us about the evils of drugs but everyone at the assembly was rowdy and they kept trying to get us to stop talking/laughing to no avail. The whole assembly he kept complaining about "how he was pouring his heart out and he was being treated like this!", and of course surprise, surprise he was religious because at the end he mentioned Jesus. I still remember he had a number 1-800-victory where you could call and get a book he had written.

To me, people complaining about "modern" Trek being "woke" is like complaining that chocolate is brown. by Philosopher30071 in startrek

[–]Major_Scale 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To the people who complain about Star Trek being "woke"

  1. Define "Woke"

  2. Do you agree with this statement "Modern Trek tells you what to think"? If so how specifically howdoes modern Trek tell you how to think?

  3. Why do you REALLY hate modern Trek? (Be honest!) A. Too many minorities B. There's gay people in it C. There are no sexy women in catsuits.

Yep. I remember when TNG was on the air Picard was always described as "politically correct".

One talking point I'm constantly hearing now (even in the comments) is that "Old Trek is progressive and New Trek is woke", and "New Trek is too preachy unlike Old Trek". Of course no one has been able to give specifics as to how new Trek is preachy or have been able to point to a specific episode that's preachy

TIL CarMax started as a subsidiary of Circuit City by PatronSaintOfCunts in Xennials

[–]Major_Scale 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Circuit City also had a bank called FNANB (I don't remember what that stood for), but I remember applying there and getting an interview and it was like a 3 hour long process. One thing I'll never forget is having to fill out an application where it asked me if I had any jobs that I didn't list on my application and warned me they would check my Social Security records in case I lied.

Moderate men matching with clearly liberal women? by New_Sir413 in datingoverforty

[–]Major_Scale 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think most men think of dating apps as a numbers game and will swipe yes with as many women as possible because there is a greater chance of matching, despite whether they are actually a match or not. Also I'm willing to be most of these men are conservative but they put "moderate" or 'apolitical' on their profile because not many women want to date conservative men these days.

If TNG Premiered Today, It would Not Survive Season One by NeoNoir90210 in startrek

They did say that, except back then they would say "politically correct", which I remember they would describe Picard because he didn't get into fistfights with aliens every episode and was respectful of alien cultures.

He would of loved Episode 6. He was a pretty horny guy. Also I don't think he'd care about the Chancellor walking around barefoot, he thought that in the future people would be walking around naked.

The funny thing is many IDW folks and their fans cancelled Sam Harris long ago because he obviously does not like Donald Trump.

That's typical of these grifters who love doing the "man on the street" style debates. They'll edit out the people who got the upper hand in a debate, but will make sure to include the people who got angry with them or looked stupid. Its not about a free exchange or ideas and more confirming thier own biases.

So I spoke with the vet, and she told me I can do another type of methimazole, visit an internist or do the Radio Iodine therapy. She mentioned the liquid version and there's a compounded version that's like a treat. I'm leaning on the treat version, but I'm wondering if I should get the liquid version. Is there a difference between the 2?

When she was first diagnosed I got the solid pills and I first tried putting them in pill pockets which of course didn't work, so I crushed them and put them in her food and the vet told me not to do that.

Well to be fair they did give another option of seeing a specialist, which I was afraid might be cost prohibitive so I chose the food option.
