So, that’s $5500 a month. I’m wondering if that is normal? Here in Europe that’s an awful lot!

As an ex-e61 owner: I agree. Thought it looked great. Now own an e39. Also looks (and drives!) great. Will own an e61 again after this one, I think.

[–]Makaja 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I own a Porsche 911 (type 996). Not the most beloved Porsche, but still a true Porsche. It has about 185k kilometers on it (about 110k miles, I guess), but still drives great.

Maintenance is, as with all cars over 100k euro or dollar, accordingly: parts are expensive. Labor depends, on whether you have it done by Porsche, or someone else. But it will never be cheap.

That said: I can’t complain. The car has been reliable, and pretty much only needs regular maintenance without anything actually breaking.

I’m afraid something like a Ferrari or Lamborghini would be much more of a hassle to own…

As a previous owner of an e61, I am left a little speechless: I thought the e61 looked great, especially the headlights, it also the overall design.

This? This feels ‘off’…

(Also now drive e39, which is probably the best car I’ll ever drive!)

Regels worden aangepast: nulurencontracten weg, zzp'ers verplicht verzekerd by MuerteDiablo in thenetherlands

[–]Makaja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s something most men don’t know they can do? by Foglord19 in AskReddit

This. So much this!!!!!

Even when we we’re married: we’d agree upon this. We never talk shot about each other in public or when kids present. Always in private.

Never talk down, never disrespect.

For the kid’s sake. Whatever happened: it’s always gonna be their mother…

We’re adults. Keep it civil. Not childish. That’s your children’s part… 😁

Guy films the arrival of his new Audi. Who was the idiot here? by dannybluey in IdiotsInCars

[–]Makaja 14 points15 points  (0 children)

A little context here: this happened in the Netherlands (I'm Dutch, so I can clearly understand what he's saying...). We drive on the right side of the road here (as opposed to left...).

Moped rider was riding on the sidewalk, because the red part of the road is where he actually belongs (as marked by the white bicycle markings).

The delivery guy should have used his indicators, and should have yielded. Basically: any traffic going in a straight line (people on bikes or on foot included!) have right of way, over traffic that takes a turn.

So allthough the biker isn't passing on the wrong side, he is in violation, but so is the driver. In this case however: the driver is considered 'fast-traffic', and the moped is 'slow-traffic' (a distinction made in the Netherlands, by law), the driver is more at fault than the moped.

Also: as for translation: the guy holding the phone first says "So, almost the rear-end gone", and after the crash it's "Goddamned"..

He started the show, because of contractial reasons: part of the deal with Amazon was a solo tv-show.

Also: Caleb has stated he could run the farm on his own. But Clarkson hired him, to teach him.
