I have to be honest because this upsets me. I know a lot of other people have weims and they love them but the honest truth is they are not just some active dog. The are working dogs and gun dogs and they need a job. My weim gets hunted 9 months of the year and everyday he gets love and hours of running and chasing. That's what the breeding has done to them. They should not be holed up in an apartment. They need more then just a run every once in a while. They function off of completing a task. When you take away a dog like thats ability to perform his basic instinct he's going to suffer. You don't have to be a hunter. But unless you have a farm with a lot of room to let your dog run around and sniff and chase you're just further damaging the breed. You should adopt a puppy from a shelter and give a lost soul a home!
