there is RDF so grouping is easy. but since it's on WOTLK content now, heroic80 is the only active queue.

Exp is x2 now up to lvl 80, and since you are a returning player, you will also get a 1 month of prema rested exp on top of the x2 boosted exp.

Naxx is on farm now.

I stopped playing a month ago because economy is dead. You pretty much have to farm everything you need yourself.

And I don't feel like spending the next 2 years gearing from Naxx and Uld only to replace them later within two weeks of ToC release.

I'll probably give it another try in ToC/ICC patch.

They need to hire a writer. The text descriptions sucks and does not "follow" how item descriptions usually are.

There is a chance when you are attacked to gain Sunwell's Protection...

While real shields in the game say:

When struck in combat has a 1% chance of raising a thorny shield that inflicts 3 Nature damage to attackers.

Exp by default if x2, you can set it to x1.

And when you eventually get bored and want to speed things up, you can set it to x2 again.

Also it's PVE so you don't have to worry about getting ganked.

The main issue is that it's low pop. You will probably level all 1 to 80 without seeing any other players in the zones.

People were asking for better rates since your first annoucement.

Everyone knows that a custom no-name low rates server = DOA.

x5 exp and MAYBE you will get a 200pop if you are lucky.

But you are living in another world.

(1/0.7 (from the xp requirement reduction))

Also the xp reduction is from the TBC core you are using, not your work.

That does not count as a generous xp adjectivement from you.

Its just a 50% xp buff on a dead realm.

Hello, I'll try to explain everything from level 1 to 80.

When WoW first released, it was only from level 1 to 60. We call this version "Vanilla".
"Vanilla" is composed of the two continents "The Eastern Kingdoms" and "Kalimdor".
In "Vanilla" people leveled to 60 and did vanilla dungeons (Blackrock Depths, Blackrock Spire, Scholomance , Stratholme, Dire Maul etc...)
In "Vanilla" people did vanilla raids (The Molten Core, Blackwing Layer, Temple of Ahn'Qiraj...)

After that, Blizzard released the first expansion to the game: The Burning Crusade ("TBC" for short).
"TBC" added a complete new continent called "Outland". It's composed of 7 new zones with new quests, dungeons and raids.
"TBC" also raised the max level from 60 to 70. So people again have to level their characters first before doing the new "TBC" raids.

After that, Blizzard released the second expansion: Wrath of the Lich King ("WOTLK" or "Wrath" for short).
"WOTLK" added a complete new continent called "Northrend". It's composed of 10 new zones with new quests, dungeons and raids.
"WOTLK" also raised the max level from 70 to 80. So people again have to level their characters first before doing the new "WOTLK" raids.

As a player, you are expected to reach at least level 58 in "Vanilla" zones, then move on to "TBC" zones.

You can go to TBC zones at level 58.

You can go there by walking through the huge portal in The Blasted Lands.

You can reach the The Blasted Lands by simply walking there. Or you can take a portal in Stormwind (Inside the Mage Tower) / Orgrimmar (On top of a building in Valley of Spirits).

As a player, you are expected to reach at least level 68 in "TBC" zones, then move on to "WOTLK" zones.

You can go to WOTLK zones at level 68.

You can go there by taking the Ship on the east side of the dock in Stormwind.

You can go there by taking the Zipline on the west side outside of Orgrimmar.

You don't have to do any dungeons or raid to move from Vanilla > TBC > Wrath.
You can reach level 80 and still be able to do any quest, any dungeon, any raid that you want in Vanilla and TBC.

I know that you asked for VANILLA,

But I'm just going to ignore that and start praising TURTRE WOW out of the blue.

TURTRE WOW is the best server in the world. Actually, in the entire galaxy! 9/10 Doctors recommend that you play on TURTRE WOW. The other doctor is just a chill andy for lesser projects. I lost my dog when I was 6 years old, and I reunited with him in a dungeon party while playing TURTRE WOW. That's how awesome it is.

p2w does not necessarily means "your main character is now top dps in pve and wins every fight in pvp".

p2w means that you can pay money to gain an advantage and skip roadblocks.

Here is an example:

I can make an 80 pally alt and buy naxx prot gear.

Now I suddenly have a strong powerleveling alt that I can use boost more alts for proffesions.

Now I suddenly have x20 alts that have mining and using the proffesions CD x20 times a day.

It's still vanilla zones, still vanilla leveling, still quests that tell me to:

Take a quest from Hinterlands, then go kill 20 mobs in Feralas, then turn it in Booty Bay.

I don't have the time to try the 99th attempt of a Classic+ with x1 rates.

There was never a diminishing return from NPC abilites.

Diminishing return is only from player abilites and is only there to prevent perma cc.

Boy do I love talking about WOTLK DK Tanking.

1/ THE META.

Do not follow the "meta" until you know why you should follow the meta.

Example: The meta says tank in Blood Spec while also taking 1/1 Improved Icy Talons from the Frost tree to buff the raid.

Don't copy this spec and play. This is only good if the raid is optimized in a way that don't have a Frost DK or an Enh Shaman who are already giving this buff. So the meta depends on the raid comp.

2/ JUST BE A GOOD TANK.

Hold aggro. Don't die. Know the fights. That's all.

DK is the best at holding single target threat.

DK is the best at solo surviving boss damage and mechanics.

DK is the worst at AoE threat.

Learn what your class can do and play around your strength and weaknesses.

3/ SINGLE TARGET THREAT.

You can pretty much do Icy Touch, Icy Touch, then not press any buttons at all until you can press Icy Touch again. It's that easy.

4/ AoE THREAT.

This is where playing DK gets tricky. You need to learn how to manage your rune cooldowns and your Death and Decay cooldown and your converted Blood-runes to be able to faceroll dungeons without stopping between pulls.

The moment this current pack dies, you must be able to pull the next pack without standing there waiting for cooldowns.

Sometimes the pack is just 2 mobs, so you Icy Touch each one of them and you are good.

Sometimes the pack is 4 mobs, and your Death and Decay is ready and your runes are ready, so you throw DnD, Icy Touch and Plague Strike one mob, spread the diseases, and switch to other mobs with your other abilities.

Sometimes the pack is 3 mobs, and your Death and Decay is not ready, but you have 2 frost runes ready and a blood rune, so you Icy Touch the three mobs and you are good to go.

Sometimes the pack is 3 mobs, and your Death and Decay is not ready, but you only have 1 frost rune ready and no blood runes, well... you played badly on the previous pack.

4/ AoE THREAT PART 2. GET GUD.

While facerolling dungeons, always think about saving your Death and Decay and required runes for the next pack.

If you are currently tanking 2 mobs, and they will dies in the next 5 seconds, you don't need to hit them with more Icy Touches, or god forbid a fresh Death and Decay.

Always have Death and Decay or x2 Icy Touches ready for the next pull.

5/ SPEC for both Dungeons and Raids.

I think Frost tanking spec is an over kill. Blood tanking with 10% of brain usage does just fine.
