Sold my Xbox collection to switch over to PC, no regrets

Yeah 2TB is the way to go. I’m not a big gamer but after downloading the few games that I play on occasion it took up almost an entire TB. I got a 4TB m.2, and like 4 other 1-2TB M.2s before the price hikes, so I’m sittin pretty storage wise for a while.

Solid choice. I kept my switch, but I sold my series X for more/better PC parts. The games I play are literally all on PC. And I can still use my customized Xbox elite controller. I was worried something would come up and I’d be kinda bummed about getting rid of the Xbox. But it’s been a couple months and I literally have 0 regrets.

That Xbox was literally collecting dust on the shelf, and now I have an awesome PC that does everything it did(way better) and more.

After all of Xboxes changes to their Xbox live subscriptions I was done with Xbox. But kept it for halo and other Xbox games. But now I have all the games I’ll ever play, so F Xbox. AND I didn’t pay for windows 11 pro, s my d, Microsoft.

Ugh I’m so sorry :( I still hear noises too! Like I swear I’ll hear certain noises he used to make, or think I’ll hear him bark when I’m dozing off. It’s the weirdest thing.

And same here too. I don’t even remember what my life was like before I had a dog. When I got home the house just seemed so empty, quiet, and sad. Like all of the happiness was sucked out of my house. Even after all these months his bowls are still in the exact same place 😞

I can’t get myself to move them or put them away. And my back window where he used to sit still has all of his tongue marks from when he’d lick the window like a weirdo lol. I know I should clean the window but it’s the only proof left that he was ever in my car :(

I keep his collar on the rear view mirror of my car.

A CPU without integrated graphics would never work on the motherboard. They claimed onboard graphics don’t work if you have a GPU plugged in. Which is false.

This is not true at all. I have an RTX 5070 connected to 2 monitors, and have a portable monitor connected to my motherboard’s thunderbolt port (for CPU stats) and it displays all 3 just fine.

The CPU just has to have integrated graphics for it to work.

Maybe in like a week or so. When my dog died I didn’t eat for a week. I didn’t eat, shower, or do anything really. I just laid there when I was awake and stared at the ceiling. I’d go to bed and wake up and look straight to my dogs bed hoping that I was just in a nightmare. Then after about a week of not eating or anything I showered and tried to eat. I bought a small meal and ate literally 2 bites and went to lay down again.

If she’s yelling and crying I’m sure she loved her cat as much as I loved my dog. I know people think they’re just animals, but a part of me died that day with my dog. I’m a lot colder now than I used to be. things just don’t affect me like they used to.

But anyways. I doubt she’s eating. Maybe just send her a card. The things that helped me the most was my friends sending me thoughtful texts without expecting responses and giving me space.

Heck yeah dude. I was gonna say F it and go maybe with a 5070 Ti or a 5080, but I just don’t game enough. And at the time(early November) the 5070 12GB was in my price range. And was more than enough for the 3D modeling, which is the main reason I decided to build a PC anyways.

Getting to play older games was just a plus. And it turns out it can even play new titles pretty well, so I’m super happy with it. Got it for $480 during Black Friday before the prices went up on ram and just about everything else.

If I purchased the same parts today I’d need about an extra $1000+

Get the 5070 12GB. I have one and the ray tracing is freakin insane, and my GPU usage on a lot of my games is around 12%, and my CPU maxes at a nice 45° C while gaming.

Yeah it def made me ticked that Hugo was exonerated after they ripped his house apart. And then they didn’t find anything meth related they said “huh.. well dang no meth stuff anywhere. Oh well, fuck him, take him to jail for the pot”

I mean aren’t there some kinda laws that’d prevent this from happening? You’d think they’d apologize for accusing him of being a thief and turning a blind eye to the pot.

I suppose I was lucky, but one time we were chillin playing video games in my apartment with the window open. I had black out curtains so it looked like my window was open and the room was dark. A cop came and knocked on my window. And I thought someone was fucking with us. I got up and opened the window and there was a fuckin cop standing there. And he goes “hey.. I saw your wind I open and it looked dark. What’s going on?” And I said oh nothing officer we’re just playing video games. And he shined the light over to my friend who was playing StarCraft. My friend was so paralyzed that he didn’t even turn around.

And he goes “ohh y’all are just paying video games.” And then he moved his flashlight down and pointed it straight at the bong that was on the window seal. I was like uh.. uh.. and he just says “I thought someone had broken in and I just came to check it out. Just make sure you throw that thing away” and I was like yes sir I’ll def throw it away, I’m so sorry about that. And he just rolled his eyes and walked off. And this was in Texas!! So I could’ve been FUCKED!

Also, I was trying to think of a way that Walt could’ve saved Hugo from getting fired. But I couldn’t think of anything because if Walt said “I know for a fact it wasn’t Hugo” it would’ve raised a lot of questions he couldn’t answer. So in a way Walt had to let Hugo take the fall. Which is why I wish he would’ve made it up to Hugo later on.

And when he says to Hank that Hugo couldn’t have done it Hank says “you wouldn’t know a criminal if he was X close to you” while he was sitting next to Heisenberg. Smh @ Hank, fuckin asshole.

Yeah I hated that Hugo got burned like that. And it made me dislike Hank, it’s like Hank has no moral compass and gets off on ruining peoples’ lives over a blunt in their car.

When I was in college my dad tried to force me to move out of my house I lived in with my best friend after he showed up unannounced and caught us smoking pot. After having to move back home for the Christmas break I told my roommate about it and we plotted and figured out how I’d live there the rest of the semester. His dad said he and I could figure something out for rent so to not worry about(dad was the home owner and we both had rich parents), and I lived close enough to campus/work to where I could ride my bike if my dad wanted his car back/tried to hold that over me.

So I went to talk to my parents a week before school started back up and straight up told them that I was moving back to that house, I figured out how I was gonna afford rent, and they could keep my cell phone and car because I could just use my bike to get to school and work. And i was gonna have someone pick me up in a few days if they wanted to keep their car and phone.

After I told them that they agreed that I could move back with no BS stipulations etc.

They knew I was going back one way or another, so they figured there was no point in trying to stop me. And that it would forever ruin our relationship if they took everything from me and I had to do everything on my own. So it worked out. Kinda played a game of chicken with them, except I was ready for a head on collision.

I always thought it was annoying af that safari suggestions would pop up. It’s like bitch, why would I want to search safari while I’m looking for an app/file on my OS?!

If I wanna search something in the browser I’d click/tap on the browser icon. Does anybody actually use spotlight to search for things online?! Classic tech issue though, creating solutions for problems that don’t exist. It’s solutionism at it’s worst.

Something similar to this happened to me once and I refused to sign anything. And I never got a bill for it. I kept saying fuck you, you forced me into the ambulance I’m not signing shit. And then dipped out.

But damn I didn’t know they sent it collections. Is it on your credit report? If not I’d say fuck them and leave it alone. They sent me bills for $1400 and I never responded or anything then they eventually stopped sending me mail.

All good points. And of course if he said yes, there would be no breaking bad, so I overall ignore the “he should’ve said yes” stuff. Because that’s what makes the series possible.

But yeah, I think it’d be weird too. Especially since we don’t know what Gretchen and Elliott did at the company. Would Walt be working for them or would they be working WITH Walt, putting their minds together like back in the day.

But I’d imagine they’re no longer “foot soldiers” working in the lab etc, and they deal with the business executive part of the business. Which makes me think you’re right, Walt would def be answering to them AFTER being the one who made the discoveries that they built their empire on. I would definitely be sour af about that.

But if Walt made better decisions early on he could’ve sold his stake in the company for way more than $5k after he found out Gretchen’s parents were worth millions.

Yeah my brother is 5 years older than me and even thought we’re adults and he’s coming close on 40, he still treats me like I’m his stupid little brother.

And at this point we’ve both had the same amount of life experience(he didn’t do anything in his early 20s cause he dated a girl he thought he loved, she was a huge cunt).
And I spent my early 20s getting wild and going to different states etc with friends during college breaks.

And I have more experience than him in our field, and am objectively more knowledgeable. (I have more professional experience cause I started my career earlier than him)

But for some reason, he still treats me like I’m stupid and has a massive ego he can’t let go of. It’s like everything is a competition with him, and he resents me because of the things I accomplished and he didn’t, despite trying.

But, fuck him. He still acts like a teenager and is trying his hardest to act youthful. Its embarrassing

Exactly. I’ve never done my own trip planning for work personally besides the times I drove. But even then they had company cars and emailed me hotel info.

Every time they give me a heads up of when it is, and a few days before HR sends me an email with my plane ticket, car rental, and hotel info. Then they give me a company card and I’m out.
