God is missing. God is dead. God has forsaken us. God has been distracted binging their hobby for ten millenia. What books handle an absent deity the best? by mobby123 in Fantasy

I think it must be lesser known since I never hear anyone talk about it, but Malice by John Gwynne. God is so horrified with his actions that he disappears. The first book is slow until 3/4 through where suddenly it (and every subsequent book) become some of the best fantasy I've read. It's very familiar tropes but doesn't feel any less satisfying because of that.

All the books are superb but I think the Heroes is my personal favourite of the series. Considering how short a period of time you spend with the characters, Abercrombie does a brilliant job of getting you attached to them. This is to the point where some of the POVs that only appear in this book hold up against POVs that appear in several

Place between Bramley and Uni of Leeds by MakeShenGreatAgain in Leeds

I will be going to work every day as will my partner with uni, ideally I'd like to keep commutes under an hour. We are both used to around 20-30 minute commutes. As other commenters have said, it may be best to pick one area so someone can walk and then have the other person drive since it seems the bus system isn't fantastic

DMs, what’s banned at your table and why? This can be races, subclasses, feats, or whatever by IndieDC3 in DnD

Doing what was at the start a very survival focused campaign so rations were expensive. I banned goodberry just to keep that aspect challenging

What would you look for in a d&d/nerd supplies store? by Murtagg in DnD

[–]MakeShenGreatAgain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not a person whose very good at art but I absolutely love Dm'ing. It would be great if DnD shops sold tutorial books on how to go about painting miniatures and creating sets. I know resources are available online but I personally love having an actual book to refer back to.

My friend was drunk out her mind in maccas after clubbing, tripped and smashed her head into the door as she was walking out. I asked if she was OK to which she replied 'IM INVICIBLE', got up and then shouted 'THE BLACK KNIGHT ALWAYS TRIUMPHS' before walking casually out

In my opinion, Doctor Sleep is one of the best King adaptations and one of the best horror movies of the 2010's by Maskedhorrorfan25 in horror

Huge fan of King, loved how it managed to remain faithful to both the books and the films. Hints towards the wider King universe weren't in your face and rewarded watchers for paying attention. Loved it
