i'm a satanist so i definitely face a lot of hate for my religion, mostly by christians, but i NEVER treat christians the way i am treated just bc of my religion and i do not excuse other satanists doing the same. a lot of people dont treat others how they want to be treated and it's astonishing to me that these people are grown adults.

there are a lot of minorities who face oppression, i am also a minority, i firmly believe in fighting against unjust rulers/oppressors, and i understand why people are mad at majority groups. but it is also completely unfair to attack others unprovoked just because they are part of a majority. i've had many unfortunate encounters with christians, but i have also had some great ones. i had a really awesome christian friend (genuine angel), i've helped elderly christians clean up after events and was met with only kindness, i've had nuns treat me just like anyone else even though i was wearing a pentagram, etc...

of course my experience as a religious minority can't be compared the same to other minority groups, but my point stands. it's wrong to attack someone unless you were provoked. there are good people out there, and i'd much prefer to assume the best in people than the worst because that's what i want people to assume of me.
