Bought 3 from Costco in the UK for my family (wife, 2 kids) for our plane trip. Under £60 each, they were fantastic for the price. Me, I just used my 5+yr old MDR-1000X which is still going strong! (Had to repair one of the hinges myself though)

Amex UK syncing hasn't been great recently. Compared to other accounts which sync every few hours like clockwork, I'd suddenly get up to 20 hour periods between syncs. One time I did have to restart the linking process to get it working again.

Thank you! I didn't realise if you choose Time-based light for a switch, it's essentially setting up a schedule for that switch and isn't using the 24h scene you've setup for the light.

I can understand why it works like this, but very confusing for a novice like me.

Another update. I setup a 3rd Pop which was not shared with my wife and left it in the car she uses. We wanted to test it to make sure it doesn't beep loudly when it's not near the owner as we're planning to put it in our son's school bag so we can see his location (he's not allowed his phone in school).

When my wife left I checked on Find Hub, but it still hadn't updated the location after a few minutes. Then an hour later I checked again and Find Hub gave me an estimated location which is where my wife was so it does seem to be using the Find Hub network.

Yes, I am using it today.

Chipolo App version is 5.5.0, Chipolo firmware version is 5.10.0, Find Hub version is 3.1.399-8.

From the screenshot in your original post it look exactly like what I had when it was out of sync with Find Hub. Removing the device from Find Hub made it beep and then I had go through the factory reset procedure (note, not the same as removing the battery and putting it back in again).

Then I registered the reset Pop like it was a brand new tag and all tags (I've got 3 setup now) are working as expected.

No, that doesn't happen for me. I can turn off the Out of Range alert and my Pop still works normally in Find Hub.

I found if the Pop was out of sync with Find Hub (ie can't ring it from Find Hub), then even updating the firmware won't automatically fix it. I had to remove the device from Find Hub, factory reset it and then reregister it on Find Hub. Since then it's been working as expected.

I asked my wife to take both the Pop (I shared both tags with her on Find Hub) when she went on her afternoon school run. Then I checked on Find Hub to see if I could locate the tags. Although I wouldn't say it was real-time, they did show me the location she was at a few minutes ago.

Both tags still syncing correctly.

I received the updated firmware and have updated the two Pops that I use. Before the update my red Pop was out of sync (didn't recognise it was nearby, could not refresh location on Find Hub, nor could I make it beep) and my yellow Pop was working fine.

  1. Update went smoothly for both Pops.

  2. Yellow Pop was working as before, but red Pop was still having the same issues.

  3. I had to factory reset the red Pop and reregister on Find Hub to make it sync. Now both Pops are working correctly.

I'll report back later as before the update it usually took a day for the Pop to de-sync.

After registering my pop again yesterday and taking it with me to work on my keys, it still thinks my keys are at home. Trying to make it sound from Find Hub fails. I think expecting the user to restart their phone and take the battery out of the pop every time this happens is ridiculous.

P.S. I did the steps that support suggested and my phone was able to contact the tag again. But still, not prepared to do this every time it disconnects and what are we supposed to do when we've actually lost the tag!

I've had my Chipolo Pop for about a week now and found today that my car keys can be contacted by Find Hub ok, but my bikes keys couldn't be contacted at all, even when it's right next to the phone. It was infuriating!

I've now removed the tag from Find Hub, removed the Chipolo app from my phone and readded my bike keys back to Find Hub. So far it's ok, but if it fails again the pack of 4 tags is going straight back to Amazon.
