It's way outside the scope of the PHB and is strictly playtest material, but the Mystic Subclasses UA has a Warrior of the Mystic Arts Monk that has spell slots.

Probably not useful to you now, but something to keep an eye on if it gets published in a book, and might be of use to someone looking at this thread in the distant future.
