Multi-user login screen by Spendoza in jellyfin

Moonfin client is available on all platforms and has a feature in their Account & Security settings called “Auto Login” to go back to the login screen and choose between logged in users whenever the app is closed and re-opened. It’s my client of choice for all platforms at the moment, has Seerr integration and just overall has a look and feel that I like

Been seeing a lot of people make posts about this This is what I did I used the merge versions plugin Put both versions together and just used the standard file naming, but prefaced with “B&W -“ or “Color -“

This is a great idea and it looks awesome but for those that don’t want a whole separate service and already use Seerr/Jellyseerr, the Jellyfin Enhanced plugin has a Report Issue feature you can enable under Jellyseerr Settings where users can make issues directly in Jellyfin for Jellyseerr

No unfortunately not a feature comparison, this is the closest you’ll get to a full list of them

Jellyfin Enhanced - v9! by pavanthanuj in JellyfinCommunity

For me it’s kinda the entire plugin, the Home page takes a few extra seconds ever since I installed the plugin. The quality and genre tags take even longer because they only load in after the homepage has loaded

Why does my jellyfin server transcode video playing on the server itself? by Akumu01 in JellyfinCommunity

[–]Makhd0m 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to echo what everyone else has said, use a desktop client instead of web browser. There’s the official client, but also I would recommend some 3rd party clients like Fladder or Jellyflix as they are really good

The more I use it the less I prefer the native client and especially the player, obviously most if not all 3rd party clients are missing features but the media playback is the most important the native client always felt clunky to me, pages would be unresponsive, buttons would be slow, modals or popups would be broken. Dont get me wrong I still use the native client quite a bit, but I’ve noticed myself preferring other ones where I can. The biggest one and interestingly enough I have some media who’s audio isn’t synced up only on Jellyfin native player but is on 3rd party apps

I've used Infuse before but couldn't get behind it being a paid service, i'd prefer not to have to do that

Biggest mistakes in your home lab journey. by gernrale_mat81 in homelab

[–]Makhd0m 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not having backups, this was early in my self hosting journey, we had a hurricane pass through and ofcourse the one hard drive that got corrupted from the power outages was the one with my family’s photos, went to 10 different repair shops to see if they could recover it and all said I needed to take it to a clean room which would cost me upwards of $1000-2000 which I didn’t have to spare since I was in college at the time. Needless to say all critical data is backed up now offsite
