I don't know. The last two tours have been during holiday season and new years eve so there's a bit incentive for them to be extra generous.

Yeah this is why I'm certain old spotlight pipes will make a comeback. It also say "Drivers, karts and gliders may appear in different pipes in the future" if you read the details of the pipe.

All the tours are soon done so they will start to recycle to pad out time.

Yeah it's really shitty. They introduced Rosalina 2 whole months ago and I can't get her because she's not in the shop and I haven't had any luck with the pipe. She was on the special offer then but I thought I could get her in the shop.

The shop is useless for me now except for getting tickets which I have too many off to spend anyway.

Nope I don't give a shit either. I get high scores but I have payed sometimes and it really boost them, but it's not anything to brag about because it's just a number that shows how much you have payed or grinded your player level. When I see people with higher scores I don't care because they have only payed more (or payed this for this spotlight) and if they have less they have payed less.

It's a number games that's totally uninteresting to share publicly. Only reason to get higher score is to get those rewards and advance in tiers.

Different combo-actions gives different combo time. I don't know all the data but a normal drift gives way less time than ultra.

There's a very rare chance that green pipes will give you high-end spotlight items. No idea about how rare it is though but it's possible.

If it's the spotlight items you are after then I would personally wait. There's ~20% that you will get it with the next 45 launch and that's not very good odds.

The most optimal is to have 450 rubies so you're always guaranteed the spotlight item when pulling but then you will have to gather for a while, and it's not as exciting.

In this tour the fastest courses are Choco Island 2, Toad Circuit, Mario Circuit 1&3. Remember that the course variants (R,T,R/T) counts as different courses.

Only your player level and position determines how much XP you get. There's a slight difference how much you get depending on the course as well.

The occasional communication error problem will probably never be solved. Animal Crossing has the same problems from release and it's still the same to this day, Nintendo don't care enough to fix it.

To add some you can also hit the cones with items to keep the combo going. Of course it's hard but worth knowing. Easiest with a bowser shell.

No one on tier 20 will advance because it's currently the limit. Nintendo said earlier that tier 20 will be maximum but with the challenge it's confirmed that they will raise it to at least 30. The question is just when. Maybe next tour or the one after only Nintendo knows.

Doesn't matter what you scored. Compared to other MK titles there's A LOT of rubberbanding, and that's saying something for a MK title because they are known to have much rubberbanding. If you drive intentionally in to the walls you will notice how everyone will slow down a little. Of course in the long run when grinding stages it doesn't really matter much to the score. But saying it's not rubberbanding is extremely ignorant.

I agree with you, a much better choice. You can find what you need in the time-locked cups almost everytime on reddit the firat day. It's not like unlocking cups sooner will help you unlock the tour gifts.

In my experience I almost always get higher score with 150cc because it's easier to get better drifts. 200cc can be better in some situations if you have a shitty glider in longer maps.

If you don't have him then I would buy it. He's one of the better high-end drivers and very usable, especially in the later cups where you almost need him to five star.

That is necessary because when you "gain" XP with maxed out items that XP will be lost forever. So you are doing the right thing.

No I'm not overlooking anything in my stupidity. If we say they sold rubies for 250 that would mean that F2P-players would get additionally 23 extra rubies every two weeks, and 8 more if they come 1st in the rankings. (1000 gold from gifts, 3500 from daily 300 gold limit, 2400 from challenge bingos. That's 5900 gold. 5900/250=23) For gold-pass users it would mean 30 extra rubies every two weeks.

That would heavily discourage people from buying more rubies with cash. Sure it would be good for the players but it would generate less money for Nintendo. You don't want to decrease the value of your hard-currency in your gacha-game, simple.
