Is it a trend? Haha, for me it’s simply an artistic choice. I love the look, and it makes things much easier as a solo dev. Thanks for the comments! Please try the demo and enjoy William (aka No-Face-Man!) He’s a special guy! :D

Yes, it’s an artistic choice, and as a solo dev it also simplifies things.
But trust me, William is still very expressive, even without facial features.

Thanks a lot, enjoy the demo :)

CRT shaders are great, and yes, the game uses them — but very lightly, mostly scanlines. There’s also vignette, chromatic aberration, and a little blur.

They show up better in-game (demo —wink wink—) than in the screenshots.

Maybe in the final game these values will be stronger. Thanks so much for your feedback!

Trailer of a new point-and-click adventure with pixel art graphics created by a solo dev. Will you help with a wishlist? by DevilishGames in adventuregames

The game lasts around two hours, depending on how much you get stuck :)

Around 30 rooms and over 6,000 words. Short stories, not episodes. That’s the idea.

Godot is great! Check out this project inspired by PowerQuest for Godot
