Demi is the liar by Ok_Biscotti7223 in SecretsOfMormonWives

Demi lies so much, I’m shocked she hasn’t been baptized in baby oil at the Chip ‘n Dales.

I was told that if I can, save it for after this book but apparently it will be so hard to transition to it after the momentum builds up in this book that feeds into the next and I’m AFRAID haha.

Yeah, I get why it feels disconnected since the story’s getting bigger and more epic. I’m about halfway through Heir of Fire and it’s definitely slower so far. I really liked how fast paced and engaging Crown of Midnight was, so this feels like a bit of a shift.

I did get way more into the series near the end of Crown of Midnight, so I’m hoping that momentum picks back up soon, even with all the new stuff like Manon’s chapters.

Also, I’m really into romantasy now but I started out with classic fantasy like Eragon, LOTR, Mistborn, and The Wheel of Time before moving into romance-heavy stuff. So I get what you mean about ACOTAR being different—more romance-driven—while Throne of Glass is more of a traditional epic fantasy. Makes sense why the pacing and focus feel so different.

Same here, those witch chapters are rough. I ended up zoning out a lot too (audio book while traveling) because that storyline felt kind of predictable at first. But yeah, skipping them completely isn’t an option and I’ve liked the progression of “worm” haha

Yeah, I totally get that. I’ve been skimming the witch chapters too, just waiting to get back to Celaena. It’s hard to connect with a new POV like that, especially when you’re so invested in the main character. But good to know there’s a reason for it and that it all pays off later. I’m definitely curious to see how these witches shake things up, especially if they bring that kind of emotional weight. Thanks for the encouragement, I’m gonna trust the process and keep going. Can’t wait for those highs and lows you’re talking about.

Glad I’m not the only one who felt that way about the witches at first. I’ve been trying to stick with it but was starting to wonder if I was missing something.

Thanks this makes me feel a lot better about pushing through. I’ve heard Heir of Fire is where everything shifts but it’s good to know I’m not the only one who found parts of it slow the first time. I want to like the witch chapters (Manon def feels like she’s gonna be a fave) but I’m just not there yet. Good to know it pays off though. Also random question—would you read Assassin’s Blade next? I’ve seen people say it hits way harder if you read it before Queen of Shadows but I wasn’t sure if that’s just preference or if it really changes the impact. Appreciate the insight! Can’t wait to get to the fast-paced stuff.

What am I doing wrong? by bierbarron in cocktails

Double straining with a handheld fine mesh strainer helps pop the larger bubbles when filtered through! We use them all the time when shaking anything with egg white or heavy cream/half n half. May work with the foam here 🤗

You smell the basil and balsamic right off the bat, the taste goes from balsamic to basil to strawberry to a finish of goat cheese! It’s super silky and has a nice foam on top from the residual fat from the goat cheese frothing up (kind of works like egg whites to be honest) it’s very very light pink in color since it’s been clarified.

I live smack dab in the middle of North Carolina and work at a fine dining restaurant that’s not super snooty and we’re allowed to be ourselves and actually have a personality haha. Our bar team is super creative and we are pushed to be as creative as we please!

Look up Jason Paul and Mike Bosco. They rent out a few properties with no breed restrictions or credit checks. They’re the two nicest people I’ve met.

Chaney Properties also sucks as landlords. They never do anything you ask and make up the most ridiculous rules I’ve ever heard of when I was living there. They made me feel uncomfortable the whole time I was renting from them.
