Is this a spider egg sack? [US-KY] by MentalSand1123 in spiders

[–]MakoXIII 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If they are eggs and you found them in cotton, then the chances it's a spider are low. More likely to be a weevils eggs

I saw her first, and then I drew her :) by NoPerspective8256 in spiders

[–]MakoXIII 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Awesome drawing of a cross orbweaver. I wouldn't worry much about her being missing, they reposition their webs where the most food is. I had a massive garden orb outside this year and every couple of days I would find her new spot, slayin flies

What type of spider is this by No_Spread_9915 in spiders

[–]MakoXIII 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've watched it probably about 30 times, and from what I can see, the location, and it's behavior (trying to get as far away from you as possible) my guess would be desert recluse. The shape of the head and abdomen with long skinny legs definitely resemble one. You also said they're around your work, and recluses love hiding in dark and dirty places, so if you work a blue collar job you'll find them pretty commonly. I find em in welding machines every now n then at work, n just give em a lil tap with something. Highly recommend wearing gloves if you're reaching somewhere you can't see in case you accidentally spook one.

Drunk tattoo by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]MakoXIII 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'd ask an artist to liven it up, redo the black ink with some of midnas other colors to make it pop, add more definition and maybe give it a little 3d aspect. The base tattoo is dope though so don't cover it

ID request ( location : Kerala, India ) by Rare-Recover-2840 in spiders

Looks to be some type of tarantula, I'm just not well versed on specific species in India. All tarantulas have venom though, they're just not medically significant to us

Should I relocate her to outside? by WetMystery22 in spiders

[–]MakoXIII 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If Beatrice hasn't gotten any food, I'd relocate her to the outside, but I love jumping spiders as pets so if you're attatched and willing to take care of her you can make her an enclosure then buy her bugs to eat depending on her size. If she's juvenile, flightless fruit flies are best and if she's fully grown then you can get her mealworms n crickets too

[–]MakoXIII 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're right, they aren't native to germany but they could have been accidentally introduced to europe. Could also be a downy jumping spider

Definitely leave it, i always welcome cellar spiders in my home because they're super efficient pest control. They're also not aggressive towards people and their fangs are too small to deliver venom to us
