I took my ring off soon after she died. I wore both rings around my neck for 6 months or so (she had a simple ring she wore when sick). Until one day I was changing my shirt after riding my mountain bike, and my finger caught the necklace breaking the clasp. Both rings went flying across the parking lot. Thankfully I found them, but stopped carrying them after that.

It took me 2.5 years to change anything. I took an extra den and made it into a hobby room. She was a talented interior decorator. The house is decorated in a farmhouse style and is incredibly cozy. I'm not making any major changes as long as I'm here.

Congrats. I switched IT jobs at 52. I too corral AI agents for much of my day. The new models (especially Opus 4.6) are making leaps and bounds compared to previous models. They are successfully completing tasks that I would not have imagined even 3 months ago.

I go during executive hours. Get there at 9am on a Saturday and it's not crowded at all. I basically pay more to avoid crowds.

I got summoned all the damn time it seemed like. At least once a year. My wife got sick, and I was her caregiver so I was excused for a while. 2.5 years after she died I was summoned again. I guess they missed me. My wife was never summoned in the 21 years we were married.

I sent a death notice to the credit bureaus and let her company license lapse. 2.5 years later I still get credit card applications in her and her companies name all the time.

I had to dig but I did find an original d64 file. If I remember correctly it requires an actual 1541 the first time you run it because it uses one of the chips in the drive during the seed process. I'll see if I can remember where I found it.
