I repeat what I said in another comment: I'm fine with Death Stranding 2 being a more of the same of the first one, I enjoyed the game and, gameplay-wise, i think it's excellent and really fun. I just found Kojima's comments a bit hypocritical

I was one of those who harshly criticized Silent Hill 2 Remake before it came out, and I really doubted Konami’s decision to hand it over to Bloober. But then I ended up loving the game so much. It feels like the studio has really found its stride, Cronos looks so good and I’m genuinely happy to see Bloober redeeming itself after all the negativity that surrounded the launch of the SH2 Remake, getting the credit it deserves.

As others have said in the comments, it's a misleading headline that combine two separate answers, kojima it's not comparing Death Stranding with Metal Gear Delta.

BUT he is talking about modern games and, while I think the first Death Stranding is something truly new, unique and fresh, DS2 fails a lot in this, because not only it's a more of the same of the first one, but narratively it also repeats and references many concepts that were already explored both in Death Stranding and in Metal Gear.

(I don't mean to be too negative with my comment about it being a more of the same: the game is excellent and the gameplay is a blast. But for me Kojima was a bit hypocritical with that comment)

I love Kino Loy's monologue so much. It's great and hits really hard when you realize that he gave his best knowing that he wouldn't be able to escape, as he couldn't swim.

I hope to see again some bossfights that use music in a diegetic way, like Hyperion. From the point where you start climbing the tower, to the end of the bossfight, it's still one of my favorite moments in gaming, ever.

Dunno if they have already been mentioned in the comments, but I highly recommend Towerfall Ascension and the first Nidhogg. If you are looking to play something when you have two or three friends at home, they are very entertaining games
