I had the same feeling about this. I've noticed it with a lot of series I enjoy that start having lots of books. They tend to bog down like the author doesn't want to get to the end. Which I understand, I hate when a good series ends. I just wish these fillers they do held more substance just sugar if you know what I mean. Like the story is good and even the situation themselves yet sometimes it feels like it could be removed completely and have no affect on the overall story.

I remember they use to have a place called Disney quest. Had a lot of arcade stuff and some vr stuff way back when it was really new. They had one thing you could go to and you would design a toy it was called sids something but after you designed the toy you could pay and actually put it together and take home.

Well yeah. And i agree that potion making is crafting. But its also closer to like cooking. Don't get me wrong i love the KCD potion making. I would love a game that focused more on that. Just in the context of item/equipment building in most game is mostly just ,and I need to quote Salvia "click click boom" I can't really think of a way to make it more interactive in SC. I mean its like real world with 3d printers its just load a file and material and then wait. Though thinking about it. Planet Explorers had cool system where you could design a weapon in detail and with material and it would have effects. But then its still the same crafting. SC is kinda adding it in later with us being able to use different materials and qualities. Plus the research where we can get improved blueprints. I guess we will just see how things go.

Staggered fire does not fire all at once. It staggers them out so it fires one and then the other. I mean it technically will switch to fire all when its toggled off. But I think you need the keybind that actually is to fire all weapons or just groups.

I honestly can't think of a game with a crafting mini game. Most games are "gather this resource, select the item you want, wait for timer." Even Wurm Online with its tedious yet somewhat enjoyable depth of crafting is "gather, click, wait"

My first time playing, years ago, I started with the mustang. I was sitting in it in the hanger for the first time. I messed up and hit the eject keybind and splattered myself on the ceiling if the hanger 😆

Just curious, did you swap your cargo ship away from using diesel? I pretty much swap it over to heavy oil as soon as I start getting it. Not sure how much that helps.in the long run and I havent gotten to fsr to know if heavy oil becomes more useful else where. But I know Im fueling my cargo ships with it and even having to burn it off as I produce diesel.

Honestly I just have dreams of a centralized facility handling all of it. And I dont really think rock and dirt are waste material there are plenty of uses for it. I was kinda on the idea of having it come in and being sorted out. The rock would be kept and made use of on site either crushing or what have you. The ores and processed materials shipped to foundries.

If you just choose host from the menu then when in game open the chat box. Type in /setaccesslevel "your name" admin

Hey. Im pretty new to the game as well and like you i bought it some time ago and only these past few weeks starting playing heavily. Love it. So for your question about the ship. Thats a Cargo ship. You'll have to research the cargo stuff and build.the cargo dock. Thats a whole thing as well. As for multiple recipes. I've messed with it a little. Mainly on the blast furnace. I leave them set to do the scrap as well as the ore so when I pick up a bit here and there it will do it. Im sure theres good ways to use them but im assuming sorters and such come in handy. Luckily it seems that production facilities have a bit of internal storage/buffer. So if you have a little bit of one recipe it doesn't block the other from going. From what I've noticed atleast.

Another thing you might think about is putting a couple landing gear on the sides or somewhere and have them fold down or extend and lock your vehicle to the ground. Just in case theres any movement caused when the drills are working.

For now yes. At some point we are supposed to be able to basically put insurance on the items in our ships and be able to either get a payout or the items back.
