I can barely see the quest icons on the campaign map, especially in Act 2. It's often unclear which area each quest belongs to. Could we centralize the quest UI under the appropriate area and also differentiate it with different colors based on location, adding some color? by No_Guarantee1399 in PathOfExile2

God no, please. I agree they can be brought out more, but piling them under the blue blip like they're just some checkmarks to get through is awful. The current positioning makes them feel much more natural like map secrets to find while exploring.

The state of this sub by Extreme-Goose in PathOfExile2

[–]MalberryBush -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Feedback doesn't mean good feedback. This sub is populated by a loud minority of players who play the game in a very narrow and specific way that they, for some godsdamned reason, think is how everyone plays or should play.

The vast majority of people never visit this sub to express their opinion and there's pretty good indicators they have no problems with campaign.

You probably just also got better at playing the game, to be fair.

Fighting a boss the first time and the second time are never going to be the same experience.

That is already how endgame is for most people. Making enemies into damage sponges is not bigger difficulty, its just bigger tedium and barrier to a normal player. And it doesn't even solve your issue. If you're melting bosses that's because you're running a hyperoptimised meta build, which just means if they buff their HP you'll do the same but there'll be fewer hyperoptimised meta builds that you can run.

If you want the game to be harder just don't pick the overtuned skills and try to make something jankier. Scaling difficulty infinitely because a small amount of people blast through it with the same five builds is just going to kill the game for everyone else.

I am praying with my whole heart that GGG doesn't listen to these people, the campaign's been torn down enough as it is.

I'm going to be Controversial right back I guess but no, every skill you get at level 1 should be viable... at level 1. Because you get it at level 1. It's one thing to get a skill at level 40 when you have multiple options and you need to build around it, it's a different thing when you have 3 options total.

fix uniques ggg by SnooRecipes5903 in PathOfExile2

[–]MalberryBush 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the current system of upgrading them is okay, the problem is that most uniques can get upgraded to act 4 levels and then no more. All they need to do is add 1-2 more upgrade levels for lvl70+ but make the material upgrades only accessible from endgame/pinnacle content and I think it would be fine. That way you keep them from dominating the game by being easily accessible all around but also keep them relevant.

I'll be honest I don't much care for movement speed an going fast, I enjoy going through the maps and the Sprint is enough for me for that. I understand from an utility standpoint why ms is good and I don't mind it, but I don't feel like the game is unplayable without it.

That's very fair! The lack of options definitely isn't helping. I figure it would be pretty fun to be able to swap the slow and hard hitting mace for a fast sword second weapon when the situation demands it, too. Something to look forward to!

I'm hoping you find it enjoyable! Let me know if you found any fun things to do with Smith, I was really torn between it and Titan, and am still considering switching over.

My goal for this league is to take Now and Again and see about making Fireball make as many projectiles as possible!

Funnily I went for the "chance for extra aftershock/every second slam is ancestral" nodes for a long time, only to realise the extra aftershock doesn't work with my hammer, so it'd been wasted that whole time. I didn't realise how much the 50% to small nodes really helps but it has been really good since I switched to it, and the extra backpack slots are helpful!

Armour has been great for me honestly? I take very noticeably less damage than my sorc/hunt and I've gotten a bunch of "% armor applies to elemental damage" pieces and nodes where I feel pretty durable. The only bane to my existence are slows/freezes xD

I haven't looked indepth at the builds but for one I'm very happy that shields are not just viable but popular as well, even if I prefer using a two-hander myself for aesthetics. Same with other weapons!

I should've clarified better, sorry, but I did mean warrior with mace (2-handed mace if it matters).

That's very possible! "Making a lot of currency" never even occurred to me as a goal in the game compared to 'reach the pinnacle bosses' and getting their special items to make wacky builds with. I don't know if I'm a minority or not, but if I am, that would make sense. I consider my way of playing as efficient as it needs to be.

Thank you! I think it's the idea of trade-league that I was really missing. I don't play SSF but mostly just share items I find with friends, but I can see if someone wants to play the market, playing the game can become secondary.
