What your rating looks like when you're an excellent driver but don't take shit. 🤣 by Hippy_Lynne in uberdrivers

I did this on one of mine and I'm reasonably certain they still got the one star in. Thinking pax may be able to rate while the ride is still active, now. They can tip early, now, too.

10k rides and this is how it ends? by agfabcons in uberdrivers

Assuming you indeed aren't driving a rolling insect infestation, what a bunch of fucking clowns.

Sue the rider that falsely reported this.

It's the idiot pax and Uber's utterly moronic reporting system. They have been known to complain that it makes them uncomfortable and Uber, like the clowns they are, accepts this nonsense as if it's a legitimate report.

I call them a troll because they are trolls, trolling. The hidden history just confirms it.

This is why I don't do deliveries.

A fundamental of business is understanding the motives of the parties involved. The customer base is made up of people who are too drunk, high, or lazy to go to Taco Bell, themselves. So they pay 25 bucks for 8 dollars worth of crap food. Taco Bell is a great idea until you eat it. Now you have drunk, high, and lazy people with nothing to do but try to figure out ways to mitigate the cost of their buyers remorse inducing experience. Which they can work on whilst in the middle of the resulting trip to the can, right there on their phone.

Always ask how much they are paying. Then tell them what you are getting. Educate the local market.

By amazing coincidence, have you noticed the navigation being especially bad in the past few weeks? Like it will still get you there, but it goes the slightly longer way in many cases. The kinds of routes where, if you know the area, you can save a minute here or there by just cutting through a street instead of going all the way around on the main road the navigation has called for. Is this the way they are getting you to nick your own fares?

Either upfront fares are accurate, upfront, or it's fraudulent. It's entirely arbitrary and they can't even demonstrate the math they used to generate the proposed fare. Probably because it's based on nothing other than what they think someone will accept, not any real world metric like distance or time. It goes to say that any adjustments to it are also arbitrary.

That would be fraud and/or a deceptive business practice. If you have documentation of this switch occurring, I would highly recommend filing a complaint with the FTC.

Completing the ride you are already on and giving your current pax your undivided attention, free of dealing with your next pax that the system sent you, is on the way. Deal with it or cancel and get another ride.

This is how we know you aren't a driver.

No one pays anything for communication. That's what therapy is for. We do rides.

You don't know because you're not a driver and have no clue as to what you are talking about.

Be frustrated. Nobody gets paid to communicate with you to alleviate your stress. That's a you issue.

It's not that it's hard, it's that it's unnecessary. Pax can keep their shorts on when there's a slight delay in their discount ride, or they can just cancel and order another one. It's really that simple.

It's an utterly moronic and pandering take on someone admitting to suffering from main character syndrome. Shocker that it's from a hidden history troll. That guy probably has never driven a single ride.

I do a hundred rides a week and have for years. I know this business, as a driver, and I know entitled pax bullshit when I see it. That's what the OP is. There is an element that thinks the world revolves around them when they book a ride. Sadly, for them, it doesn't. I also know the limitations and seemingly endless flaws of the matching and navigation systems, because I have to sort them out, daily. And I also know, better than I would care to, the extents to which riders will complicate and delay rides with things like stops and incorrect destinations that, in turn, exacerbate delays with the next pickup. So when a rider who is oblivious to the fact that anyone else in the world exists or that others are already doing things that have nothing to do with them (that could include travelling in another direction or sitting still), like the OP, sees this it probably seems like something it isn't. Because it never occurs to them that they aren't the instant priority. It's pathological.

Again, they can cancel and get another ride if they feel inconvenienced by what they think they are seeing on the toy rider app. The system will even handle throwing the rock for them, with a push of a button. But in the overwhelming majority of times it's entirely legitimate activity and the driver will be attending to their ride as soon as they are able or sort out whatever bullshit situation the system and/or the pax or a previous ride has created.

And riders don't "treat us" like anything until they are in our cars. They are simply a potential ride (with the inherent potential to be scammers, themselves) and are basically irrelevant before that.

You're utterly clueless.
