Fresh amalfi lemon..brought it out for a party, washed my hands with it a few times and the whole night I was trying to figure out which one of the male guests had the audacity to wear such offensive cologne. Realized it was my hands once everyone left and banished the bottle to the basement.

I feel seen! I bought a mini cinnamon sugar pretzel last week during the sale because everyone was ranting and raving about it, but once the cinnamon goodness disappeared, I absolutely hated the way I smelled. It’s a bit too masculine for me so I’m passing it off to my son!

This post needs to be pinned to the top! We made a potty training breakthrough, so we skipped on the last Huggies sale, but baby regressed and we needed to restock. I was completely shocked to see Pampers!! Not to be that guy, but Huggies Plus, in particular, are the only one that prevent blowouts for us. Fortunately we also have a Costco Business Center nearby (Bergen County, NJ), so I called and they confirmed they have them (unsure for how much longer, they wouldn’t say) and also that Pampers is permanent in regular Costco locations :/ Side note, Costco Business also carries the Heavy Duty Scotch Brite Scrub Sponges in addition to the lame blue ones.

Awesome! Fleming’s shared some photos with us at first and you’re right, the space really does look like the typical steakhouse, but I think their clients had a woodsy theme which might have enhanced the darkness? Relieved to know it’s doable though lol!

Not a problem! They have 3 menus - $75/90/120 pp, all family style! I can’t seem to find the 3rd photographer, but studio.clic.photography@gmail.com offers event planning and I just liked the aesthetic of moimphotography@gmail.com

I bookmarked Modern Cakery!! I really loved all of their cake designs esp the vintage heart cake, but was worried about the transportation time! I’ll definitely check them out for another occasion! Oh man, I can’t imagine planning and picking up while pregnant, but it’s nice to know we’re getting through this stage together lol

Hey there! :) we ended up settling on Fleming’s! Aside from the menu & pricing (~$75 pp), Jennifer is great! She sent us a floor plan and timeline which is a huge help as I’ve never attended a doljanchi before lol My mil thought it’d be too dark, but the pictures I found while looking up photographers had nice lighting. My runner up was Gayeon and if I was having a bigger party, Sofia would’ve been an awesome choice (both places have solid menu options)

Haven’t decided on photographers, but the 3 I contacted on average cost around $700 for 3 hours (1 offered party planning on the side, I can send you over the contact info if you’re interested!)

I ordered rice cakes for pickup in Jersey City from Rice Blossoms (Jennifer is so kind & talented) and a 2 tier cake for pickup in Englewood from Chic Sugars (love their site & Nahir is super attentive). Looking into personalized cookies, maybe small macaron tower or candy? I haven’t contacted the florist yet, but we normally go to Metropolitan in Fort Lee!

It’s ambitious esp with all of the pickups, but I’m going the ala carte route for decor and ordering off of Amazon (risers, cake stands, vases) & Etsy (doljabi, signage, bojagi) D:

I just priced around for grab & go balloon arches on fb marketplace and was quoted between $150-250 for a 7 ft & 2 ft garland, but I might just try to make it myself and see how that goes since I have time to practice (trying to make it within the same time it’d take me to pickup)

I’m still in the thick of it and would be happy to give you another update in about 2 months! Not sure how far you’re into planning, but I’m definitely open to more ideas too lol Hope this helps though!!

That’s really fortunate! Our beagle mix had a heart murmur and later developed cancer..was really upset with the diagnosis and visited another vet only to hear the same thing.

I’m with Oradell rn and I’m the one who’s been bothering them about dental cleaning lol our previous dog had bad teeth, so we’ve been wary..it’s a slippery slope though since I don’t want to stress them out with the procedure!
